FastAndFuriousParticipantKobe wanted to be like Mike……
So he is listed at 6’6 just like Mike
Changed his number to 24 to be closer to 23 for Mike
Has 5 rings one away from 6 like Mike
Imitates every move just like Mike
Sticks the tongue out just like Mike
Does the fist pump thing just like Mike
Wears the arm band just like Mike
Tugs at his shorts just like Mike
Shaves his head bald just like Mike
He even got a divorce and had to give up millions to his wife just like MIKE!
LOL

GottaBeTheShoesParticipantWell at least Kobe was able to produce. A lot of really talented players copy Jordan or somebody and it all goes to their head and they don’t pan out. Kobe was able to live way past expectations and will end up very close to Jordan but most likely will never catch him.

FastAndFuriousParticipantNaw bro this is just a joke, Kobe is a great player, just was funny how those 2 have so much in common because of Kobe.

MJ FOR LIFE 23ParticipantLol so true. I always try and copy Jordan’s moves but my friends always say Kobe when I do them. Kobe’s moves are very similar to him that’s why he is still able to produce at a high level every game. Just proves how effective Jordan’s moves really were. His post fadeaway shot looks like Jordan’s as well.

BrentSuriaga01ParticipantYou know what guys, in fact, I’ve read an article in yahoo and it is about MJ saying that KB is the only NBA player right now that deserves his comparison. So I guess this ends the debate of who really is "LIKE MIKE" instead of comparing MJ to some washed-up MJ wannabes NBA players out there (I won’t mention names)

M-DYMESParticipantQuestion..,
Would Kobe be anywhere near the player he became if Mike never existed as someone to study the game from?

FastAndFuriousParticipantGood question but I think one of the two things would have probably happened:
1.He would have been the Mike Jordan of today had Mike never existed.
2.Would have copied someone else’s game and been compared to them.

Michael.S.ParticipantHe also shoots exactly like him with a slightly higher release point.

llperezits all true except the toungue thing. Kobe has own kobe face that looks like a piranha with the lower teeth stuck out. Mike would stick that toungue out like crazy.

OhCanada-ParticipantKobe learned not to imitate Jordan the hard way while he was young.

iguapops420ParticipantKobe would have been the player he is today with or without Jordan to imitate. What makes Kobe so good is that he didn’t just watch MJ all the time and decide to use all of his moves. He does it with EVERYONE. I remeber him talking about stealing a move from Paul curling from the baseline the the charity stripe. Or even this offseason when he learned Dirk’s one foot fade. a couple offseasons ago he studied with Hakeem Olajuwon.
Honestly, I think had their been no MJ, would so many look at Kobe with so much hatred or would HE be considered the udisputed GOAT.
