SwatLakeCityParticipantAbout a month ago I created a post where I asked if anybody knew of a Fanstasy Keepers League that was looking for new members. I wanted to join one that was active. Unfortunately no one that responded to the post knew of any Keepers League that was active that had an open spot. However, several that responded said they would join a Keepers League if I created one. That was not originally my plan, but after thinking about it, I decided to create one, and now I need members to join.
There are 12 teams in the league (one team is already claimed, my own.) There are 6 teams per division (East and West). The League is entitled NBA Draft 4 Real. So I need at least 11 other members. If you would like to join just respond to this post with your email and your Team Name.
Please be aware that if you decide to join the league you are committing that your team will be active, meaning you will participate in trades, signings, the draft beginning every season, and the setting up your team for each matchup each week. If you do not have time to do this every season then please do not join. I am requiring that each member be active because I am doing this for fun. I was in a Keepers League before and I had a lot of fun with it, it would have been a lot more fun if all the members were active though (There were only about 5 teams that were active out of a total of about 17) This is why at this time there are only 12 teams. I can add more if I get more responses to this post and if every member is willing to be an active owner of their team.
At the each season I will review each team and decide if they were active by whether or not their team was set each week for each matchup, if they had initiated some trades or responded to trades (vetoing them or accepting them), if they signed any undrafted players and participated in the draft every season. If I feel that any team is not active, I will send a message to the entire league asking if they agree, if all league members agree unanimously that that team(s) was inactive then I will delete that team(s) and send that owner(s) an email message confirming their team(s) being deleted upon league agreement. If a team is deleted there will be an open roster spot and I will make a post on this site telling everyone this league has so many open spots and to join if they would like to with of course the same commitment to keep their team active once they join.
I want to make this Keepers League as fun as possible. The more teams, the more fun it is. So please join by responding to this post with your email, and your team name. I will then add your team and send you an email saying that your team was created on such and such date.
Once the league is complete I will send a league wide message confirming everything, the draft, how the seasons will work, as well as a reminder to keep your team active.

SwatLakeCityParticipantYes, Offended, a Keepers league is basically the same as a Dynasty League. What will happen is at the end of this season each team will have the option to keep 3 players on their team. Once everyone has selected their keepers the draft will be redone with the remaining players. After next season finishes, the keeper limit will increase to 4 players with the same process. After that season finishes, the keeper limit will increase one more time to 5 players and the same process ensues. After that season finishes the Keeper limit will remain constant at 5 players and the draft will be redone with the remaining players for each succeeding season using the same process each year.
Its a lot of fun, I think its the best way to do a Fantasy League.

GrandmamaParticipantWell, in a dynasty league you keep all your players from year to year. The only draft you have is a rookie draft with the order based on results from the previous year. Keeper leagues are different b/c you don’t keep your entire team. Like you said, a limited number of keepers. Much different.
