qDizzle32ParticipantBeen a fan of him since his days on Team USA’s U17 team with Bradley Beal, Andre Drummond, MKG and the rest of those guys. All year long I have been sleeping on him to have a breakout year and as he had a great start, he began to struggle as league games began. Last night he had a career night as he tortured Kentucky. As a freshmen, he would seem to usually just pump fake and go up strong everytime in the post. Now he has developed a post game and actually posts players up on the block which led him to score 29 points last night. At the start of the year, I had him as a late lotto pick and now he’s in the middle of the first round which is still a lot higher than what most project him as. What could really hurt his draft status more than anything would be his low IQ. I’ll admit even as a fan of his game, he does make a lot of WTF decisions sometimes. Although I do buy into his selfishness, rather than playing very passive which have been several other NCAA big men’s issues (Brandon Ashley last year), he does hog the ball in the post a lot. Prior to his freshmen season, he said he planned on declaring for the 2012 draft, but thank god he didn’t. He would have never reached his potential if he had done that. Wouldn’t be very surprised if he declares for this upcoming draft but what do you guys think about his stock after his performance from last night?

j_hughes53ParticipantReminds me a lot of Brandon Bass the way he was hitting some mid range shots and using strength down low. I think he can be good role player and secound round steal.

i’m jus so offendedParticipantGiven the demand for even semi competant big men in the NBA and given Johnny’s potential, I doubt he gets out of the first round

RUDEBOY_ParticipantIm a big O’Bryant fan….He’s a good kid..
My homie needs to play with more heart, energy, consistency and smarter if he wants to become a 1st rounder..He has size,a nba body and he’s a great rebounder, another year at LSU to continue improving his game and learning how to play like a big man will help his draft stock..
Right now if he comes out,i see him as a mid to late 2nd rounder….
