Lotto StudParticipantWhen I started watching Wall at the beggining of the season he was playing at a high intensity level of ball, but it seems as though the tendonitis has gotten the best of him when it comes to his jumping ability. I know he still goes full-tilt in transition with the ball in his hands, but I would love to see the Wall from the past who would ALWAYS WOW us with aray of dunks. I know this was HS, but if you take a look at the link I posted above you would catch my drift. Last night when Cousins threw him the lob, it appeared to me that Wall lost the explosiveness he used to have when he elevated for the dunk. I even took notice that Wall isn’t that fluid in his steps up the court, he even has a hobble if you pay close attention when he brings the ball up. A couple months ago there was a lot of speculation that the shoes Reebok put out for him were part of the cause for the tendonitis problems. If that was the case, what has Reebok done to help the problem go away?
I would like to know from you all did the tendonitis get the best of him & was it really the shoes that helped cause the problem?

sheltwon3ParticipantI am sure next season Wall should make adjustments. There is always a huge adjustment for first year players and Wall is no different.

WizardofOzParticipantThe medical staff misdiagnosed it. It wasn’t tendonitis, but was a bone bruise, which take a long a long time to heal. A bone bruise is worse for somebody to have short-term, but is better for the long term rather then a player having chronic knee tendonitis by the age of 20. I believe that he played with knee tendonitis in the Summer League though.

Lotto StudParticipantIf Wall has chronic knee problems why doesn’t he wear his knee straps anymore?
They are suppose to help with the pain. He wore knee straps in HS & the beggining of the NBA season, but did not wear them in college.

Lotto StudParticipantTRAGIC what the NBA does to "athletic" guards! They get injury prone & lose out on the bounce they used to have. I guess he is going from 39 to 31 ala DeShawn Stevenson who was "44".

WizardofOzParticipantYeah DeShawn used to have crazy bounce. I haven’t seen him dunk in like 3 years!
Ricky Davis is another example.

WizardofOzParticipantEarlier in the season, Derrick Rose said he’s lost 3 in. off his vert since he’s entered the league, but i don’t believe him. I think the day after he said that, he had this dunk.
