417basketballfanParticipant(if Durant resigns) to trade Westbrook for John wall? Although Westbrook is a better player this just seems like a better fit. Wall is just a lot more poised, less athletic but a pass first version of westbrook.

Sewok15ParticipantIf you could get Wall and Beal for Ibaka and Westbrook or something maybe (strictly from a Bball standpoint). The Thunder have desperately needed a two guard to knock down shots forever now. Roberson played better but he is in there to defend. Waiters is probably as much or more of a negative than a positive and only really suited as a 6th man not to play with Durant and Russ.
Now the funny thing would be if you traded Russ to the Wizards it would only entice Durant to leave more…even getting two good players in return. If KD’s boy Russ was playing in his own hometown I imagine Durant would bolt to join him ASAP.

ChicagoCaseyParticipantWhy won’t he just sign with the Wizards if the Thunder and the Wizards do a John Wall and Russell Westbrook straight up trade?

417basketballfanParticipantThunder have a better roster then the wizards in my opinion. Ibaka Adams and kanter are better then the wizards bigs. Beal is injury prone and he might be a free agent anyways

BiggysmallsParticipantIf Durant resigns with OKC for more than one year, its a huge leap of faith and I’d assume he’d have assurances that Westbrook isn’t going anywhere.
NBA stars are the ones with the power and they rarely make decisions without assurances that they will be catered to. Durant isn’t signing with OKC just so they can ship out Westbrook.

MatosParticipantHe’s more likely to resign for a year or two with the Thunder and have them guarantee picking up a couple of 3 & D wings. And they desperately need a better back-up PG than Cameron Payne. He may be a good prospect, but they need NOW players. Jarrett Jack, Darren Collison, etc come to mind.
