casey38rayParticipantIs it just me or those John Wall don’t get enough respect from the referees. Because he always attack the rim and draws contact and he don’t get a foul call. He currently average just under 5 free throw attempts per game. It seems like he’s the type of player that would be living at the foul line like James Harden, Russell Westbrook, Kobe Bryant, and Kevin Durant. It’s been weird to me that he don’t get calls that most players get that attack the basket as frequently as he does.

Lotto StudParticipantIt would be nice to hear Wall speak on this himself, but as we all know, he’ll be fined for voicing it. Despite the lack of charity attempts, he’s playing really good ball and it shows, because we all still manage to speak positive on his behalf.
Wall just may be going through with the “initiation phase” of being that tier player.

zcnumerounoParticipantBoth valid points. IMO, these superstars get way too many fouls called on them, and the NBA really needs to limit foul calls, as they really drag on the game. But — compared to these other stars — Wall really gets the bad end of the deal.

DolanCareParticipantCompletely agree. Wall actually works to go around defenders where as Wade and Harden run into people and wait for the whistle. The league would be better off if it rewarded Wall’s style of play instead of giving FTs to those who look for them.

chaParticipantWall, much like Rose earlier in his career, prefers to avoid contact going to the rim. He’s still learning how to get fouled.
