i’m jus so offendedParticipantThere has been a guy on this site claiming some time now that Jeff Teague has been the best PG in the Eastern Conference. While I’ve enjoyed Jeff flashing the substance behind his potential, I submit John Wall. He is averaging 19 and 9 with 4reb and 2stl per game. The Wiz have gone 7-3 in their last 10, where he’s gone for 22 and 9. He seems like a sure fire All Star to me and I hope he gets a serious look for Team USA next Olympics. He would be a terror.
Also, I watch his game highlights almost every day on YouTube on this guys’s channel named "Dawk Ins". He does a great job and posts lots of players game highlights. Anyone from LeBron to Trey Burke to The Greek Freak. Here’s a link FYI:

B-ball fanParticipantYeah, Dawk Ins and DownToBuck are great on youtube.
I would absolutely agree that Wall is the best pg in the East. When he is one, he is almost impossible to defend. His drive-and-dish game is elite and his combination of court vision and driving ability is unmatched in the NBA. Wall has been a little inconsistent early in the season, but he is a franchise talent.
This is a big year for the Wizards. They should be the third or fourth seed in the East, so they should get to play in a couple playoff series. It could be a valuable experience for Wall to get some experience come playoff time, as well as a little bit of a coming out period for him, when people realize how good he can be, kinda like what happened in the playoffs for Paul George last year.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantNot to discredit Wall but at one point, Jeff Teague was the best PG in the Eastern Conference.
On that point, Jeff Teague was averaging 18p-9a while shooting 43% FG on a 8-5 team.
During that same time-span, John Wall was averaging 17p-9a while shooting 39% FG on a 4-8 team.
I don’t know about you but that really seems as if Jeff Teague was the better player and leading his team to wins. Now, every since then, Teague has been struggling while Wall has been on a tear:
Jeff Teague: 14PPG, 6.6APG while shooting 34% FG on a 2-5 team.
John Wall: 23PPG, 9APG, 4 RPG while shooting 44% FG on a 5-2 team.
John Wall is clearly the better PG right now, but a couple of weeks ago, he wasn’t. So it’s not like the praise was unwarranted.
I’m always been a huge John Wall fan, I hope he can keep up these numbers and momentum, especially when Beal comes back. The Wizards are the 3rd best team in the eastern conference.

geothermalParticipantbut isn’t the best PG is the one that makes a team better?
better yet, who is making the team much better? teauge or wall?

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantAt one point, Teague was making the Hawks better but as soon as he started struggling, so did the Hawks. The same could be said about Wall, as he struggled, so did his team and now that he’s thriving, his team is winning.
At the moment, Wall is making the team better and is the better player.

StewParticipantFor John Wall to the best PG in the league like he claims he is. He should be averaging 20 and 10 PERIOD!
Not 19 and 9….

ReactionParticipantNot to discredit what Teague is doing in any way, shape, or form but you got to realize the tools that Teague has around him. He has Al Horford, Milsap, etc. Wall has Nene, Beal (currently injured), and Ariza (was injured). I got to give the hat tip to Wall this time. He impressed me now that he is finally staying healthy.

HaleParticipantDoes anyone know where John Wall was ranked for the NBA rank thing they do at ESPN before the season? Genuinely curious.

anthony_DavIS23ParticipantLast night he was ballin, he played just about 48 min, made some spectacular plays and was nailing mid range jumpers off picks. He and Gortat will lead this team to the playoffs.

omphalosParticipantRemember when SO many people were saying Wall had nothing on Irving? I’m glad Wall proved me right with his stellar play.
The fact remains that Kyrie is always going to be a guy in isolation, whereas Wall is a guy who will get better with his team. Kyrie doesn’t make his team-mates better like Wall does, and certainly doesn’t defend like Wall does.
I’ll take a team-first Wall over isolation Irving any day of the week.
I just hope Beal is healthy for the playoffs so we can see what the Wizards are made of.

jwall1ParticipantI agree that Wall is better than both Teague and Irving this year. Wall’s jumper has gotten better, but in order for Wall to be considered at the level of Westbrook and Rose, he needs to improve his jumpshot and also his shot selection. The sky is truly the limit for Wall. Teague is sort of a jack of all trades who could earn a few all star nods in his career. Kyrie Irving this year has been extremely disappointing. He just has not been able to grasp coach Brown’s offense. Kyrie has alot of talent, but he will just never stack up to Wall athletically or defensively.
