As i watched the Alabama vs. Kentucky game it looked to me that John Wall isnt having fun anymore. I think that the media and the pressure is getting to be too big for this 18 year old kid. He is no question a great player and he has a future in the NBA and a tremendous opertunity to recieve plenty of accomplishments..In fact im predicting 2011 All Star Weekend a skills compition with Wall, Rose and Evans all competeing…But The pressure he is recieving from Lebron James, President Obama, and the overall media hype is starting to become a distraction to this kid. At the end of the day the NBA is a business, but John Wall is still a kid and he is at Kentucky to have fun with the game of basketball on route to winning alot of games. The game i saw vs. Alabama he did not look like himself, he look like he was trying to hard to do everything, when he doesnt have to do that..It affected Bledsoe and Cousins body language.

My advice to John Wall is to have fun out there on the court and while in college. College is the most fun that you are ever going to have in your life and i feel that John Wall needs to surround himself with better people to keep him focused on having fun on the court…cause thats what he does, we love his game not only cause he is a good athlete, and tallented, but he has a love and passion for the game and he has fun with it…He has not been having fun…Lebron James is a big distaction to John Wall! they have nothing in common, John Wall has actually gone to college and is showing his dominance against other college basketball players. Why was he at the University of Kentucky? he is no wildcat alum…. he didnt play for coach cal! r u kidding me??? He should be surrounded by players and people like Pat Riley, Jamaal Mashburn, Tayshaun Prince, Wayne Turner, Tony Delk, Ron Mercer, Derrick Anderson, Antoine Walker people who really represent Kentucky basketball in its excellence in college and in the pros, not Lebron James…Cousins, Bledsoe, Patterson, Stevenson all feed off of Walls energy and enthusiasm…Continue to have fun playing the game cause thats why you are a number one pick! not because of people who want to leach on you and endorse your skills off of your god given talents…Stay focused and just go out there and have fun playing with your boys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He’s a little overrated, so now the pressure is mounting. He needs another yr but no one cares about that. The NCAA is using John Wall because there is no other story in college basketball.

powerguard 97, I couldnt agree with you more, but i dont think he is overrated. he has out of this world talent and if he puts it all together on a consistent basis, he will be everything that we are predicting for him. Wall is a 19 yr old kid who has been deemed as the wildcats savior and thats pressure. he probably feels like he is carrying the whole state of kentucky on his back. Im sure he reads the websites saying his stock is dropping or that cousins is better, so of course its getting to him. Coach Cal and Patrick Patterson really need to reel him in and have a man to man talk with him.

It’s not that cousins is necessarily better, but more NBA ready. John Wall is skinny, can’t shoot and gets a lot turnovers. That is not new in basketball, just means you need further development.
