I am intrigued by Henson, his lenght and relentless motor and defensive feel for the game.

Henson´s problem has always been his lack of weight/strenght, he has put some weight from 190 to 220 he is listed now, do you guys think he can go lottery if he puts 15 pounds of muscle in this summer? (i think his max weight should be like 235 to max 240 because his shoulders are even narrower than Anthony Davis)

At 235-240 he can be fairly effective defensive PF ala Serge Iblocka, do you envision him climbing on the board if he puts work on his body?

And always remember,,, Seize the day, life is short.;)

    Don’t wink at me.

I think Henson is a definite lottery pick and I would take him as high as 7 if he fit a need.

I think he ends up in Detroit.  He fits them extremely well.  That looks like a playoff team soon, if healthy, to me.  Monroe is a beast.  Stuckey is wildly underrated.  Knight and Henson should both be at least above average pros with great motors and work ethics, while Prince hits open J’s and knows how to win.  If they get anything from Ben, they could challenge for the 8.

Obviously he needs to fill out some, but he’s got the height and length and though he lacks a great offensive game he made decent strides over the last couple years.  He can help a team like Sixers who need a shot blocking pressence but I think the 7 range might be a little too high for him since he reminds me a little of Brandon Wright at times.

If Henson falls to the Celtics that would be awesome mix him in with Bass and Garnett with Rondo throwing lobs to him along with the teams defensive mentality he would fit in perfect.  he is the one UNC guy I can’t figure out on where he plays or where he will get drafted.  He could go anywhere from 9-20 and if he falls to 20 the Nuggets will take him sorry Boston.

Henson reminds me of Marcus Camby more than Davis does.  People forget Camby was only 6’11 220 when he came out as jr in college and as an older guy Camby is a whopping 235lbs now.  Davis reminds me of a cross between Andrei Kirilenko and KG more than Camby.

Henson would be nice at celtics rondo would get him a lot of good open shots plus his made range and offensive game improved greatly from year to year he could go lottery if right team needs him. I like him Quincy miller and Royce white as good low risk hi reward picks.

If you think John Henson, let alone anyone not on steroids, can put on 15 pounds of muscle over the course of 3 months, then you’re delusional.

It isn’t possible. 10 over the course of a summer isn’t even possible.

Can he gain 15 pounds over the summer?

    Sure.

But most would surely be fat.

Yeah, someone one a pure weight lifting plan can gain 15 lbs in 3 months, but not someone staying in basketball shape.  15 lbs over the coarse of a year or a year and a half isn’t out of reach though.  Especially since he has such a long frame.

I think Henson’s peak weight could be around 235-40 lbs, no problem.  Durant was even skinnier and he’s 235ish now.

I think he’ll be similar to Theo Ratliff if he continues to work on his jumper.  He has a nice foundation, he just needs to work on expanding his range.
