JoeWolf1With the draft just about a week away, this where I have my draft right now. There is always a productive college player with lots of experince projected in the 18-25 range who drops to the 2nd and then goes on to have a good rookie season. I think this year’s example of that will be Damien James. Any feedback is welcome, i’d be glad to discuss or explain why I have certain players where.

JoeWolf1I’ve heard the Raptors are high on Bradley so I moved him up for now, I originally had him in the 17-22 range. I thought originally it would make more sense to draft a power forward or center there maybe even Whiteside, but I kept hearing how high they were on Bradley. I also read that the Raptors and Amir Johnson are both on the same page as far as him coming back to the team and he’s only 23 and in my opinion just about as much upside as any power forward not named Derrick Favors or Greg Monroe.

GreenLanternParticipantI kinda like it. I agree with most of your thinking but i don’t think the actual draft will play out that way. For example the love affair with Hayward IS real, and i have heard that Anderson hasn’t been all that impressive, just solid. So with that said, I don’t see a scenario where Anderson goes before Hayward, even with the need/fit rationale.

kaceyParticipantPretty solid mock IMO. It would be crazy for James to slip into the 2nd round, he is first round talent all the way and has looked impressive in workouts. But anything can happen.
Just a heads up, Robin Benzing withdrew from the draft. Plus, the Heat have never drafted an international player and probably never will as long as Pat Riley is in control.

kaceyParticipantJames Anderson has been dealing with a hamstring injury and hasn’t been able to go full speed in most of his recent workouts. I don’t think teams will put that much into an injury like that, but it doesn’t help him, especially if you’re not 100% when fighting for a spot in the first round.

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantJames Anderson is a clear 1st round talent Kacey, He is not fighting for the 1st round.

kaceyParticipantI agree, he is a first round talent. I wasn’t saying that he is a borderline first round prospect, I was trying to say that he is fighting for a spot “within” the first round. Obviously, Xavier Henry has passed him, as has Paul George. At one point early in draft Anderson was ahead of both.
There will be some first round talent players slipping into the 2nd round. I agree with JoeWolf.

knicksfan7ParticipantJust to remind everyone JoeWolf1 occasionally has computer and phone problems from watching extensive pornography.

knicksfan7ParticipantAwesome mock, JoeWolf1. The only thing that irks me is Devin Ebanks in the 2nd round. Other than that, great mock.

JoeWolf1But they traded for Beverly last year and shipped him overseas for another season in Europe. Anymore I just can’t see how you can have 3 2nd round picks and not draft at least 1 overseas player, but thanks for the heads up on Benzing.

JoeWolf1Thanks knicksfan7, and it wasn’t porn! I wasn’t sure about the title of Shrek and I searced Donkey Show and apparently set off a bunch of red flags.

Michael.S.Participantgreat mock, just like your last one. Can only find a problem if you nitpick. As good a mock as you’l see a week until the draft.
