How do you not see him lasting long? And I personally think hes a great fit for the Knicks, he’ll be given the green light to take shots, but its not like hes selfish, he averaged 4.3 apg in college with a bad team..what would he do on a team with Melo and Amare?

He’d excel in New York, probably the best fit…but, he wont be there at 17, so it doesnt really matter..

i actually have Kemba falling to the Knicks, strange stuff has happened before like last year in the draft Cousins’s and Whiteside’s suits were Kings colors.Kemba wants to be a Knick and if you just go by need Raptors sort of need a point but more likely will get a small forward,Wizards with Kemba and Wall is an awful combination though they look like twins would be humorous with both on the same team, Kings could pass on Kemba,Pistons need another bigman with all the guards they have,Bobcats have a young upcoming point guard so dont see Kemba going there, Bucks have Jennings,no point for the Warriors to draft him unless they trade Monta for a big man, doubt the Jazz will pass on the Jimmer and think Jimmer will still be there, Suns have Aaron Brooks free agent but a team option dont see them picking Kemba,Rockets have Lowry so no Kemba there,Pacers have Darren Collison, but the Sixers could actually select Kemba didnt know Jrue was that tall but if they dont and select a big boom Kemba is available at 17.

It’s too bad that New York doesn’t really have many options to try and trade up in the draft because I agree that Fredette is a perfect fit in New York. Anthony and Amare would create a lot of open looks for Fredette that he didn’t have to create himself. He would have nothing but the green light to launch away, and plus Billups would be a great mentor for him.

Too bad the Knicks made the playoffs otherwise David Stern would have gotten them into at least the top 10 of lottery.

Jimmer would be a good fit but He is not really a need considering they need help on the defensive end, they  have enough scorers and they need shooters at the 2 spot and possibly 4 spot.  They need need to get a young dynamice play maker, a tall dead eye shooter or a defensive big man.  I kind of want them to get Jeremy Tyler because there will be scorers in the secound round.

kemba at 17!!! haha no way that happens. there is a talented kid named cory joseph out there that has tons of upside. the knicks should look at him cause kemba will have already bought a house in sacro by the time the knicks pick at 17.

Jimmer would be a great fit in NY but I don’t see him lasting that long.  I think he ends up going in the lottery, or right after to either Utah or Indiana.  The fast paced style of ball they play and the constant green lights would be great for him.  I also agree with MagikBack, averaging 4.3 assists a game at BYU, imagine what that number could be passing the ball to Melo & Amare.  I could see him putting up 12-15 points per game and 5-7 assists playing for the Knicks in a few years after learning from Big Shot Chauncey.

Neither Melo or Amare are good passers so I’m not sure what good it would be for Jimmer to be sitting open on the weak side waiting for passes that don’t arrive. I think defenders are the only players who could be considered good fits for the Knicks right now. Defend hard, lower the other teams shooting percentage down so that Melo and Amare can beat them with their isos should be the Knick’s strategy now.

Besides, scouts are going to talk themselves into believing that Jimmer’s ELITE agility level time (when you score 3rd in a combine skill, we get to start saying you are elite) means he has the speed to defend and create his own shot in the NBA. Me, I think that score is partly Jimmer just training hard for that skill test and not fully elite speed that will translate when going around NBA players instead of orange cones. But some scouts and GMs will think otherwise and Jimmer will be gone by 12th pick.

I don’t really see how he passes Utah. He tested good on athletic tests (relatively speaking), gave the best interviews, and actually wants to play in Utah. Oh…. and Utah needs shooters and a future PG to boot. If any team likes Jimmer Fredette, I highly suggest they trade up to 11 or better.
