Im really annoyed when people say tha Utah should not take Jimmer. Why the hell would you not want to take jimmer if your the Jazz? Not only are you getting a potential Steph Curry/Tony Delk type guy but its great for business and ticket sales. Id much rather have Jimmer over Kemba or Brandon Knight. Jimmer is going to surprise some people. I HATE the Reddick comparisons that ive heard some say. Hes not like a reddick where he has to come off screens. He can create his own shot, drive, and hes an extremely underrated passer. My only knock on him is Defense but who plays D in the league unless ur Spurs or Celts? That was my rant. I expect negatives and ill laugh when he does as well as curry after everyone doubted him to

I fully support you. Jimmer WILL surprise. He’s not a lazy sack like half the NBA players today

I think it’s the fact that Stephen Curry’s passing ability was better than Jimmer’s as well as his ability to not turn it over as much.

Curry is an ideal PG in terms of size while Jimmer is an undersized SG.

I honestly think Jimmer Fredette can be a Jameer Nelson type guard.  Just a bit taller.

Jimmer will be a lotto pick because of the weak draft, Utah probably will get him because he’s morman and he would be an instant fan favorite.

nah hes not on OFFENSE, nba scouts say his backcourt teammates Jackson was guarding 1 and half men on defense, while another said his defense is non-existant.

If he becomes an nba star I will be the first to admit I was wrong and how he made me eat my words, but for now until he proves otherwise I see him as a JJ Redick/Adam Morrison(not based on position just results) type of player

I do not think he will be doing as much of the dribble in the NBA though. Taller PG’s and SG’s guarding him who can bother his shot and still keep him from driving. He is going to get killed on D. Killed on D. I still think he will be a double figure scorer, but no where near a all star type player. I do like the way he shoots off the dribble with a hand in his face though. He will still score well in the L. He will lose minutes on the court do to that D.

hed been an instant marketing boost for the jazz being a morman a pr dream and o yea jimmer can ball a bit yes he needs alot of work on d but that can be improved and he gets his own shot real easy in college not enough people think about he had to do everything for byu yet still had a very low to ratio wiht constantyl having all decisions on his shoulders

i see a little curry and a little mark price on offense but his defense is really non existant.  If he wants to play at the next level this will have to improve.  Its possible that he just doesnt give a shit about defense and can play it but until i see it i wouldnt draft him over kemba.  Thats just my personal opinion.

He knows hell need to play defense to make it in the league and hell find that out real quick. In college his job was to not play defense so he could score 30 plus points almost every game. Hes a hard worker and a decent enough athlete that he’ll be able to hold his own on D at the next level.

I could see him going in the 6-12 area to Milwaukee (crossing my fingers) or Utah who will have two picks in that range

Do you guys even watch the Jazz and then watch Jimmer play? They play very, very, differently. Jimmer has an okay passing ability, and he can’t play defense. The only things he has going for him is that he can shoot very well and he is a very good ball handler, thats it. Scoring is not everything though. I guarantee you that Kemba, Kyrie, and Knight are better than him.  Yes, he is a hard worker no question about that. Yes, he will sell tickets but the Jazz can sell tickets by just winning their games. Who says the Jazz will win games once they draft Jimmer? To me, selling tickets comes second. Because that comes by selecting players with good value, good potential, and by winning games. The Jazz can get more value for their picks by not selecting Jimmer. If I were the Jazz I would look at selecting Barnes, Irving, Kemba, Burks, Vesely, Terrance Jones, Derrick Williams, Brandon Knight, all before I would look at selecting Jimmer.

Thunder I am a fan of Miami (not because of the so called big 3). I love the team with Alonzo  Mourning, Mashburn, Lenard, PJ, Thunder Dan, Timmy,  and those guys. I also love Boston because of my pops being a die hard celts fan since the Hondo days and I cheer for Portland as well because I played with Armon Johnson and Luke Babbitt. As for Jimmer…Im not sure if people dont think he can ball in the league cuz hes white or just not a hard worker because he has every tool you could want other than defense (which he may surprsingly have) Im not saying Utah should take him because he is mormon…i just think hes a greater talent than Knight and Kemba and cleary college basketball agreed giving him the awards. Im not the type to get caught up with the players who are popular or just put up points but this guy can really play..and im not so sue i agree that he is not as good of a passer as curry. I think he is better. He carried BYU pretty deep in tourny without their big man and i saw maybe 6 or 7 layups blown a game but his teammates that should have been assists for Jimmer. Put talent around Jimmer and i think you will see him thrive because they wont be able to tripple team and he will get much better looks and hel have better players to finish. my only knock on his is defense. the guy can play but most guys dont think white boys can ball. hate to pull out the race card but i have no other idea why noone would think he cant do well in the league. thats just people wanting to see him fail
