So….over/under 45 games into the season before Steph Curry gets traded for Luke Walton. But in all seriousness, this is a very intriguing move for the Warriors. It will be interesting whether West can help build up the franchise like has done in the past and how this shapes the coaching situation in Oakland. Thoughts?

aamir543ParticipantI am a warriors fan, and even i would prefer to work for another organization. But i feel he will put losing behind this franchise, and we will sneak into the playoffs

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantWow, Golden State is on the up and up. Young talent, tradeable assets, and a guy in Jerry West that can make things happen.

Wavy BagelsParticipantSeems like this team is headed into the right direction for the future. All that’s left now is to form a great coaching staff that implies defense and a winning mentality and this team is a playoff team no doubt.

nateoak10ParticipantGive us a center who can handle the low post, a good coach and a half decent bench and I think were not too far off of the playoffs

speedevilJerry West will trade Stephen Curry for his brother Seth Curry in 2 years.

surveParticipantAlthough he has done a lot for the Lakers…….Jerry West’s maneuvering to get Kobe Bryant in the draft is the only proof I need to know that the guy is a mastermind. He will have an impact. Hey….wheres Kevin Pritchard?

MichaelJKohlParticipantPlus, when the Lakers did trade for Bryant they traded Vlade Divac to the Hornets. The Lakers most likely would have traded Divac anyway due to the fact that they had signed Shaquille O’Neal.

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipant"wheres Kevin Pritchard?"
Probably dreaming about the old days when he was throwing more of Paul Allen’s money around to acquire Rudy Fernandez, Sergio Rodriguez, Joel Freeland, and Peteri Koponen. That money and what he cost Allen by handling the Darius Miles matter as immaturely as he did was just special. He wasted a ton of money. If only Kei Igawa played basketball…

surveParticipant^^^LOL @ Kei Igawa^^^

MichaelJKohlParticipantThey have made a big deal how Memphis receieved what seemed like little at the time for Pau Gasol. But the Lakers traded Caron Butler for Kwame Brown. If you replace Brown for Butler in the Gasol(s) Trade it is not as bad.
