I feel like I’ve seen a similar deal between these two teams but I think it included Burks instead of the other pieces.

Anyway, I actually like this for both teams.  The Jazz get an instant upgrade at point and the Hawks get rebounding help in the frontcourt and a young wing to build around.

 No way the Jazz let Hood get away, Burke, Booker, late first round pick at the most. I don’t think jazz want to give up on their young players, they want to get healthy and see how things go then.

The Jazz are in need of a PG.  Burke just hasn’t been what they thought he would and with Exum’s injury, he’ll need time to get back to full strength next year.

Teague gives them that ability to allow Exum to take it slowly since he’s such a highly regarded prospect.

And the Jazz are going to have to give up one of their young wings in a package involving a PG that could actually help them.  Hayward is their "guy", Burks makes a lot of money and wouldn’t be as attractive to most teams so Hood seems to be the most tradable of the three.

I don’t see how you think Burke/Booker and a late 1st would be enough to net a difference maker PG for them.  Teague hasn’t played his best ball this year, but his addition would be worth more than just scraps, which is what your counter would be.

Also with teague only turning 28 later this year I think they would welcome teague.
