thetruth87ParticipantHe’s had a down year this year, but no doubt he would help out a team like the Knicks or the Jazz. Also heard the Mavs may be interested. Not sure what kind of package it would take to land him, or how desperate the Hawks are to move him.
As a Knicks fan I wouldn’t mind a lineup of Teague-Afflalo-Melo-KP-Lopez. That’s pretty solid. Don’t really know what we would have to give up to get him. I would like to hold onto our first round picks. Maybe a 3 team trade would work, but who knows?
If the Hawks give up Teague are they officially in rebuilding mode? And would Al Horford, and Korver become available too? That could be an interesting scenario with contenders lining up to try to acquire those guys for a playoff push.

OhCanada-ParticipantAsik burns the deal his contract is terrible. I like the idea of swapping Teague for Evans but what does New Orleans do with Jrue Holiday. Maybe he would be able to play with Teague as a guard combo yet that would eat into Gordon’s minutes. Interesting thinking about Evans in Atlanta though. Finally providing Atl with a competent wing and Buldenholzer would really help Evans inconsistencies.

SmooveKRYPTParticipantReke is too much of a ball stopper for Atlanta’s system.

festar35ParticipantI don’t think it signals a rebuild. I think it just shows the Hawks think it is time for Schroeder to step into the starting line-up which I personally agree.
I wouldn’t hate the Pacers having a look at Teague, I think a trade of Stuckey and Solo for Teague would be fair. Stuckey can resume that 6th man role in Atlanta as they don’t have a fantastic scoring punch off the bench and Solo can see if there is a spot for him or they let him walk at the years end. Indiana get a proper PG that can run the offense and they would still have that 6th man by pushing Hill or Ellis to lead the 2nd unit, which I think either of them would be fantastic at.
(Not too mention Teague always kills the Pacers, so it’d be nice not to have to play him)

Memphis MadnessParticipantHere is a 3 way trade idea:
Knicks get: Jeff Teague
Clippers get: Paul Millsap, Kyle Korver, Mike Scott, Kent Bazemore, the 43rd, the 54th pick pick, a future second round pick, and cash from Atlanta.
Hawks get: Blake Griffin, Lance Stephenson, Jose Calderon, Derrick Williams, Langston Galloway, Cleanthony Early, Branden Dawson, and the 26th pick from the Clippers.
The Clippers move away from Blake Griffin. They get a couple of starters and former All Stars who can shoot in Paul Millsap and Kyle Korver to go with their Chris Paul-DeAndre Jordan combo. JJ Reddick rounds out their new starting five. Mike Scott and Kent Bazemore offer some more shooting and depth off the bench.
The Hawks keep Al Horford as their veteran hold over. They rebuild around Blake Griffin, hoping that Dennis Schroeder can run the new Blake Show. Derrick Williams gives the Hawks another athletic big. Either off the bench at power forward, or at the 3 with Blake Griffin. Galloway and Early are decent, cheap young guys. Maybe they can rehabilitate Lance Stephenson. If so, he becomes a dangerous slasher and rebounder on the wing. Jose Calderon gives them solid shooting and point guard play off the bench.
The Hawks get the 26th pick to go with their 24th pick to get some more young talent.
The Hawks trade off a bunch of guys BUT they get their first highlight reel superstar since Dominique Wilkins.

WarblingSpamalopeParticipantI’m impressed with the terribleness of this trade. Do the knicks have to supply the flaming bag of dog crap to lock this down?

ExumInfernoParticipantTeague wanted Milwaukee, make that move happen.
Hard to get a good trade there, but Teague, Patterson to the Bucks for Mayo, Plumlee makes some sense. Maybe add Ennis and Holiday to the deal to make it better.
