Tim49461ParticipantIs anyone else amazed at how well he has been playing. He has the speed and the creative mind of a point guard to be very good in this league. I really see only one major flaw in his game. That being knowing when to pass after you breaks down the defense.
Call me crazy but i really think if you give me 2 more years he will be a top 10 point guard in the league.
Sometimes he is making D Rose look slow out there.

DanEboyParticipantHa…Teague is playing amazing and looks like he is going to be a very good player….but…no one makes Rose look slow.
Also, does anyone else notice how much Teague resembles Jennings?

ghettosermonParticipantNot saying he’ll ever reach that point and he needs to get a jump shot first but Teague really reminds me of a young Tony Parker. He needs to further develop his pg skills and shooting much like Parker when he came into the league, but his quickness and floater are incredible.

Lotto StudParticipant"Also, does anyone else notice how much Teague resembles Jennings?"
hmmmmm nope! I would say another Teague, named Marquis who will be a beast at UK

ghettosermonParticipantI think his playoff performance and Hinrich coming back next year justifies the Hawks not resigning Crawford to the big contract he’ll definitely get.

Demarcus OnealParticipantTeague has always had alot of potential but was not a good game amangaer and had to adjust to changing from being a scoring point guard at Wake Forest to being a good faciliator and a good point guard, but he has always had the talent and had to leran a few years behind Mike Bibby

Lotto StudParticipantI find it funny how no one was mentioning Teague until he got to the playoffs.

ghettosermonParticipant^^ Because he was never getting minutes, and wouldn’t have been given minutes had Hinrich not been injured. Glad to see him produce though. Bright future.

JNixonParticipantTeague’s top potential IMO is similar to that of Devin Harris. He’s a super athletic and quick guard with good length and handle, and he can make some very good finishes at the rim. He would be VERY well-served to develop some semblence of a jump shot, as he’s really shaky right now with that, and of course he’s not the best playmaking PG really. That will be vey hard to improve, as he simply just seems like a guy who will always be more of a scorer than distributor but there’s not a huge problem. Teague also is a raw defender, but he has the tools to at least be a pest or passing lane defender. All in all it’s clear that he’s the PG of the future for Atlanta and they should spend time developing him. He has the tools to be an above average PG.

surveParticipantNot amazed at all. I watched him a lot at Wake and Mike Woodson had already planned to start him this year before he got canned. He is a good player, but so is Jeryd Bayless. They are just score first PG’s and have to be in the right system to develop properly.

ilike.panochasParticipantToo much of scorer to be a starting PG..IMO. Lacks court vision and the instinct to play the point, he is a talented scorer nonetheless.

iminipandaParticipantI remember the Kings offered Jason Thompson for him back in January. I think he would have exploded the same way Marcus Thornton did. Kirk’s injury just earned him millions.

JNixonParticipantY’all really think Jeff Teague is too much of a scorer to EVER be a starting PG? He’s a score-1st guy, but he clearly is more of a PG than a SG and I think if he keeps things simple, which he has done (to a fault a good bit of the time) of his career, he can be a good PG for the Hawks as a starter. His potential is clearly better than that of a backup PG.

ball4life66ParticipantHe is a score first PG but he can clearly distrubute the ball from watching him against the Bulls. He defintely has a chance to be a top 10 PG in the league in a couple years.
