lukestine13ParticipantWith the players the jazz have coming in for a workout on sunday makes me think they are trading down or are looking to acquire another pick in the draft. Only one of the guys, one of the Morris brothers, is a projected lottery pick. with the rest being late first rounders or second rounders. The other thing that is weird of the six players four of them are bigs. Not really a team need unless you are looking to trade one you already have.

i’m jus so offendedParticipantI’ve been saying all along they need to take a big. Big Al is a heluva offensive post player but he cud really use a defensive minded C to help out. Okur is a goner after this year regardless if he makes an impact (see AK), which I doubt anyway. Millsap would be better suited as a 6th man bringing energy off the bench. I honestly think packaging him in a trade would be good. Favors needs all the minutes they can give him and I don’t know if Fes will ever amount to anything/stick around much longer.

SwatLakeCityParticipantUtah might trade down, up or out of the draft entirely but I wouldn’t say this just because they are inviting a "poor" class to their first day of workouts that they would be looking to do this. I mean sure if teams had it their way they would find a way to look at all draft prospects, that they would be sure that whatever they decide to do, it is the right decision. This is just the first set of workouts. There is still 4 weeks left until the draft, I’m sure the next workout will have a lot of lottery prospects, no need to fret about a trade being in the works.
It doesn’t matter if Utah is loaded at the PF or C, they should still look at other PF’s or Centers just to see if they want to trade one of their current PF, or Centers and they need to be well rounded in all their workouts that way they don’t miss out on someone.

CodySLCParticipantThey did they same thing last year, in bringing in late first round prospects when they were drafting 9th overall.

CalipariParticipantRegardless of who they’re drafting, Jefferson has to go. Cash him out for youth, expirings, and assets. Unless you love Knight, the Jazz almost might be better going with Kanter. Can anyone else picture the Favors/Kanter frontcourt in 4 years? This is a little off-topic, but maybe they make a run at Rubio, dangling a pick or two that they acquired from the Nets? Certainly more would be involved, but that would be the basic premise. This draft is going to be be really important for the future of the Jazz.

TheLastWordParticipantJefferson is not a system player. He plays one on one but doesn’t have the effeciency to back it up like a Lebron, Wade, or Howard. He is the defenition of "fool’s gold". His place in this league is probably a 6th man where he can hold down the fort until the starters come back in. I know thats harsh but its true. He is far into the negatives on +/- every year.
