For_Never_EverParticipantI was very impressed by his debut athletically and defensively he can start right away. I think he was more than likely second with most minutes on the Celtics, Terry Rozier being first. He took it to the rim most of the game and lived on the free throw line. He made two 3 pointers, and got two blocks. He has good looking form at the line, but started to miss late in the game making 8 out 12. The 76ers played pretty aggressive defense against him. He could have gotten two highlight dunks while being fouled.

SeattleSuperChronicsParticipantTJ McConnell looks like he might have some staying power. Can really see the floor.
Hunter can really shoot it…James Young looked really bad to me. I loved him at Kentucky.

For_Never_EverParticipantHunter should really get some time off the bench this season with Turner gone. He looks pretty skilled enough with ball in his hands, and has been autimatically the best shooter on the team since being drafted. James Young isn’t a NBA player to me. He doesn’t do anything well.

Sewok15ParticipantI stopped watching the game after Simmons went out with calf cramps. The Summer League website had Brown going 11-17 from the line and 2-7 from the field. He looked pretty good outside of his shooting but that is what we come to expect and he will certainly improve from the outside.
I think Ben Simmons delivered pretty much what we expected in his Summer League debut as well. He had a couple great passes and only one turnover. He didn’t shoot well from the field but was 6-6 from the line. His +9 was by far the highest on the team despite looking somewhat lackadasical on defense because his ability to get good shots for his teammates.
He needs to become more assertive but he also needs rely on his best skill which is his passing. I think guys will love playing with Simmons and if he learns to shoot jumpshots from the outside to the point the defense must respect it look out.
Luwawu-Cabarrot or TLC as he will now be known impressed me for Philly as well. He looked as advertised as a high upside 3 and D guy. Holmes and Wood also look like long term NBA players but it will be very tough for them to get minutes in the Sixers loaded front court.

For_Never_EverParticipantI was off with Brown shooting stats. Ben Simmons body looked a little soft to me, and kept having calf issues or ankles. He can really be a matchup nightmare because he really is a legit PG in a 6’11 body.

omphalosParticipantBrown’s block on Simmons was nice to see.
Kid has some dog in him defensively and those almost dunks were great.
I’m glad Ainge went for a long-term pick in wake of Durant’s big FU to the NBA.

For_Never_EverParticipantHe stopped Ben Simmons two other times beside the block he got on him by changing his shots when Simmons attacked the rim. He can really get off the ground.

OhCanada-ParticipantStill laughing at the people who think Brown will be a bust. He’s a physical presence on the wing and a competitor. Good defender that can play 3 positions. Jumpshot is improving and once he learns how to dribble a bit better and finish with contact he will be unstoppable. Only problem for me is he’s in the Atlantic division, that I don’t like.

CU.LIONSParticipantWell one thing I am sure of is JB will Be catching some serious posterisings of players this season. He looks to be an instant good defender. But how much he plays and how well he shoots his rookie year remains to be seen.
