RUDEBOY_ParticipantJaVale McGee played defense against the Magic like he was a hostess at a restaurant..He was escorting everyone in..Magic players werent afraid of his shot blocking skills..They were taking it right at him..Several times coach Sanders scolded him about it, but he continue to let it happen..The entire Wizard team shot a poor 37%..
I said earlier that it’s a bad idea to have him & Blatche together on the frontline..Having them play together is like having 2 rookies playing at the same time..They make too many mental mistakes..And poor shooters..They’re not the only guys on the Wizards that lack discipline when it comes to shot selection..Guards Nick Young & Gilbert Arenas also has been chastised by the coach for taking bad shots….

Mr. 19134ParticipantHahaha that was funny…
In Orlando tonight magic backfired on a few wizards.
The Wizards played terrible tonight tho and I thought they had a promising team.
In other news Evan Turner lead all rookies from the 2010 class in debut scoring.

TyroberParticipantThey were playing the Magic so dont be too hard on the Wizards. The wizards have a good group of young players but lets not forget that the Magic are probably going to win 60 games this year guys. They are going to be a lot of teams like that

WizardofOzParticipantI agree that JaVale McGee really played poor defense. I undersand that you’re playing the best center in the league and he’s probably going to get his points regardless, but he has to play better D. The whole team was undisciplined on D. They were not rotating and just let everyone get in the lane.
I think that the Wizards need more toughness on the frontline. They have Btatche and McGee but they also need some bangers. Hopefully Seraphin and Booker can develop into those types of players.

OhCanada-ParticipantBooker is the most reliable frontman player on that team when it comes to intelligence and fundementals. Blatche is just horrible, unless he is the numbert one guy (which he is bad at) he is pretty much useless. In all the teams elader was out and they had noone to turn to for guidance. Also the Magic are probally the best regular season team out there.

WizardofOzParticipantGive Blatche a chance. He is coming off a broken foot and still isn’t in his playing shape. He’ll play better as the year goes on.

doubledribblerParticipantI’m surprised anyone has faith in the Wizards. There are a lot of me first guys and low IQ guys. Orlando is an excellent team, but there are quite a few times I didn’t see guys block out or where guys would actually turn their back on defense and Orlando would drain a shot. Ryan Anderson plays on the perimeter and still managed to grab 8 boards. It is also a relatively thin front court. There is not much bulk between Blatche, Yi and McGee and the team apparently is planning to use a lot of lineups that have Wall, Arenas and hinrich in them which is tiny. I’m sure Wall will stay strong, but it’s going to be a frustrating season. It’s bad enough and hard enough being a rookie, but to have to deal with this group and then knowing that Arenas isn’t going anywhere.
