Has he been excellent with the Warriors or what? He just came in the game and completely changed everything. Off.rebound, block, loose ball, all back to back. Gave the Warriors the biggest lead in the game.

What do you guys think? Has he been a stud or what? I am not judging from this game alone, it’ssomething I have been seeing.

Big key for them. They are loaded every where else so they just needed an athletic shot blocker and dunker inside.

He’s basically their fifth most important guy now, even ahead of Iggy and Pachulia. Maybe more of an X Factor. You could probably replace Pachulia with a dozen other backup center types and it would be a wash.

McGee is a key member of the team.

I agree that pachulia would be interchangable with alot of backup bigs.  I’m thinking they’ll cut him loose this offseason. Who do you think they should be targettin for that role? I really thintk they should take a shot on mitch mcgary if they dont think damion jones is ready yet.  I could see them giving Joakim Noah a short deal as well.  I havent been keeping up to date on the players they have rights to overseas either though and they could have options there and in the draft as well.

I understand this isnt a huge priority for them but theyre the type of franchise that optimizes at every chance. And imo they could be getting more bang for their buck.

Just a matter of time before he does something in a key moment of a huge game that could cost them.

Draymond said in the interview after the game that mcgee was the biggest reason for the late game blowout.

    Youtube… "Draymond Green says CJ"

I feel like he’ll have a big play on LeBron in the finals and redeem his whole career. Not more important than Iggy, but he and Ian Clark along with Iggy destroys the  notion that the Warriors "have no bench".

The Warriors have a very solid bench – Iggy was always a great team player as a starter and has transfered that to the bench, David West gives them a solid veteran big, Shaun Livingston was a talented young player whose early career was wrecked by injuries and after being waived/traded/bounced around the league finally became sound and found a role as a bench player and has got a title.

JaVale is Javale, we are always waiting for that dumb play but if he can keep things simple he can do a good job. He doesn’t need to be shooting 3’s although I did want him to try one in possibly last game of regular season. All he needs do is rebound and just pass the ball to a team mate.

McGee is a free agent and so are a lot of other guys…

If they move away from Pachulia then I think they look at bringing back Andrew Bogut once he recovers from his latest injury.

Dude might not be right in the head but he has all the natural ability in the world.  He is my favorite Filipino player

The question is this: Is McGee in a perfect role where he only plays 12-15 minutes per game, allowing him to maximize good McGee without seeing too much Shaqtin bad McGee? Or can he be more than what he is now and be a capable starter? Can he play 25-30 mpg and not make the boneheaded plays?

Because it seems like when he’s in, good things happen for GS. He’s always had the physical skills to be an impact player simply by screening, rim running or hiding along the baseline for drop offs and dunks. And he’s got plenty of mobility to defend the entire floor.

But can he be a consistent, good player? Or is he best served in the role he’s in where what they get from him is a bonus?
