Surpised nobody has said anything about this here (maybe I missed it?). Jason Thompson has been traded to the GS Warriors for Gerald Wallace.

I think this is an underrated move, he was a bad starter, but Jason Thompson is a solid PF/C that will really help the Warriors’ depth. Defensively is probably an upgrade over David Lee and isn’t a complete nuisance on the other end.

The 76ers get even worse and open up more minutes for Okafor and Noel + get another expiring contract to have immense cap space from the 16-17 season and beyond.

They basically did the Warriors a favor, they reduced their tax bill by giving them a better player in exchange for swap rights for next years pick. I know they werent dealing with the Kings again, but its a little surprising they didnt get anything of value (besides his leadership maybe) for taking in Wallace’s contract

Thompson was an awful starter, and played next to probably the best center in the league, what makes you think he will be a better fit instead of Lee, who is a great player that was simply overshadowed by the emergence of Green. He is nearly a scrub in my book.
