Sullinger, now being noted to having back issues will most likely fall in the NBA Draft. But to where? Lets say, if the Kings get Lowry and Houstons pick. If Sullinger is there will you take him? Do you think he is a good fit with Cousins? I think he could be a steal for the Kings around that range and it is very possible that the trade goes through and this is a possible scenario. Thoughts?

I think Houston is more likely to move Lowry to Toronto, and package some young players to Sacramento. But as much as I love Sullinger, not a great fit with Cousins. Both are very similar, not athletic, don’t block shots, I can’t see them meshing well, as much as I love both.

Yea I just feel like both need the ball in the post to be effective on offense, it would be best for both guys to be on different teams, where they both can be the low-post scorer

I see what you’re saying, but Cousins is pretty athletic.

I disagree with CrissCross, I think that the Kings could end up with Lowry. Even though Isaiah Thomas did well last year, he is a little small (only 5’10) Size does matter in this league so I’m not quite sure how far a 5’10 starting guard can get you. So I would think the Kings would look to add more depth at point with Jimmer not playing too well and Thomas out performing him. Lowry would certainly do that and add size, shooting and passing at the same time. So Lowry to the Kings is still very possible.

I also disagree with Sullinger not complimenting Cousins very well. Cousins can play the paint very well while also being a top 10 rebounder. He’s certainly not a 20-10 guy but he could be 15-10 guy for a very long time. While Cousins plays the paint, Sully can extend the D with the long jumper. He could very well be a 20&10 guy. Sacramento could use a player like that after Thompson not working out too well.

The Kings have been said to like Henson so maybe they do the trade targeting him with the 14th pick but it according to Chad Ford, the Pistons had a workout with Henson, Leanord and Henson won sizably so I think Detroit takes Henson 9, leaving the Kings to select either Sully or Moultrie at 14 if the trade with Houston goes through. They could always surprise us by taking Harkless but if they ed up getting the 16th as well then I don’t think its necessary to pick him two picks earlier when he will most likely be available at 16 too. Other than a 3, Sacramento does need a 4 with Thompson not working out so Moultrie and Sully are possibilities now that Henson is gone going to Detroit at 9. I don’t think Moultrie would work with Cousins because are low IQ immature players. Moultrie is also very similar to Thompson and we already know that pair hasn’t worked. I really don’t like the idea of an immature front court but instead I feel that Sullinger high IQ and mature game could really balance out Cousins immaturity and radical play. So maybe Sullinger is the pick at 14 because of those reasons.

     Cousins had 18 and 11 in his 2nd yr on terrible un-balanced Kings team, he’s def a 20+ 10+ guy. Laughable saying he’s 15 and 10.

Sac could use Lowry, but Houston wants to move up to both Torontos and Sacramentos draft spots. Kings are very open to trading down, so it won’t take as much like Lowry to trade down, while it will take more to entice the Raptors to trade down, like Lowry. Houston’s ultimate goal is to move up to #5 and #8, I don’t think Toronto gives up #8 for #16 unless they get Lowry, where Sacramento is more likely to give up #5 for #14 for less than Lowry maybe a package of young players.

I don’t think they compliment eachother at all. Sullinger is a shorter Cousins. I’d rather have a long athlete who will rebound and block shots next to cousins like Henson or Leonard.

That calls Demarcus cousins unathletic has never watched him play. You’ve got to have something special when you can keep tipping your own missed shots until they go in. The guy ate up Bynum his rookie year. Just because someone is a low post player doesn’t make them unathletic.

As for Jared Sullinger, Cousins defense has been improving and while not a prominent shot blocker, he could compliment a player who is a profound shot blocker. Which is why John Hensons name was coming up a lot. Cousins is continously improving, and even though a 20-10 guy is what he will be next year, don’t be surprised if he surpasses your expectations. Unlike most of the Kings players, you can clearly see his game is constantly improving.

Cousins is athletic but he isn’t quick by any means, and he doesn’t have the stamina to play at high energy all the time. He’s good for short bursts but that’s about it. Cousins’ conditioning is a serious limiting factor in his future development, so you can see why he wouldn’t be fit with a similarly slow player in Sullinger.

Cousins is an explosive athlete in bursts, but I wouldn’t say he’s a physical marvel, at least not in the shape he’s in right now.

Sullinger could be a solid back up for Cousins….

14 or 16 will be more of a reach at this point though, his stock is honestly dropping!!!

If the kings did have those picks, I’d like to see them take a chance on PJ3
