kobyzParticipantbig time steal in the draft, will be better than Big Baby, closer to David West in his ability, gonna bring great service for the Celtics this season, he’s so NBA ready for a rooke, skilled player, very clever, advanced bb iq and feel for the game, strong mentality and great character and teamate!

IndianaBasketballParticipantRudeboy said he’d start over Bass this season… He might be right.
I really like Sullinger. Great hands. Great feet. Just has an excellent feel for the game and knowing where to be.
As long as his back holds up, he’s a big steal.

RUDEBOY_ParticipantBoston was near the bottom in rebounding last season..They had only 2 guys ranked among the top 50 in rebounding…Garnett ranked 23rd,Bass ranked 48th…But Garnett did average 1 more rebound a game when he played center….Even as late as last week Doc has yet to make a committment on who’ll start ,but he did say he might rotate Sully,Bass & Darko…Bass said he wouldnt let his starting spot go so easily…..But i think Sullinger should start,Bass plays better with the 2nd unit…The addition of Sully,Darko and the return of Green should allow them to be better on the boards this season then they were last year..Their rebounding numbers were sad…….
*Rebounds per 38.8 (30th)
*Offensive Rebounds a game 7.7 (30th)
*Defensive Rebounds per game 31.1 (14th)
*Offensive Rebounds percentage 19.7 (30th)
*Defensive Rebounds percentage 72.4 (20th)
*Opponents Rebound per game 43.2 (21st)
*Rebound Differential -4.4 (21st)

TallmanNYCParticipantGreen and Darko have both been terrible at rebounding their entire career as compared to other NBA Centers and PFs, respectively. I don’t know why you think they will help.
I’m kind of certain that Sullinger is one of the top five guys on the Celtics right now. I’m not sure if there is always room for him on the court as Garnet needs to play. Still, I’d start Garnet at five and Sullinger at four and roll with that. I’ve no idea how a guy can just dominate for two years in college and then fall out of the top ten on draft night. I just don’t know what the GMs were thinking.

TyroberParticipantI thought he was a top 5 talent in the draft. I’m not saying he should have went top 5, but people seemed to go crazy over his back issue and it may or may not be a problem but he definitely has some talent.

kobyzParticipantwhat also make him a great fit in Boston is him being offensive rebounding specialist, as the team were the worst in that department last year..

Meditated StatesParticipantBasketball players in that draft. Who didn’t know that? I suspect he may start Rondo feeds him and he lives on the O glass.

larryfiskenParticipantBut its still possible that the red flags can come back and haunt him. Its a reason he fell in the draft so his back may not hold up to well, lets have a look at him after the season has taken his toll on him. And even if he is a great rebounder and iq player he still lacks in the defensive department so im not sold on him even if he does look good in the preseason. =)

bobbybParticipantI was get Negatives because i said he was a top 5-10 pick. The only reason he dropped was health concerns. That is why he went in the 20’s , not because of skill
