r377ParticipantNot trying to discredit him as he is a great dunker but that is not an NBA foul line. An NBA foul line would be a least a foot back….

MJ FOR LIFE 23ParticipantUm actually no, you might be thinking about the three point line. According to FIBA regulations which is practically what the Euroleague use, a free throw line is 4.6m while in the NBA it’s 4.57m which is actually shorter, so he’s actually dunking farther away by 3cm lol

MJ FOR LIFE 23ParticipantI’m a big James White fan and I was crushed and disappointed when I saw his performance, my friends were asking why he was even in the dunk contest and I told them they’ll see. Well I guess no can beat father time.
At least I can still watch videos back when he was still shutting buildings down

For_Never_EverParticipantI said it before, but the last times he was doing the Free Throw Line Dunks were four or five years ago. He has likely lost a step or two. The time has passed for him.

For_Never_EverParticipantMy bad. I didn’t fully read this post or the comments. I just responded and posted thinking I needed to explain he isn’t young anymore.

surveParticipantI dont know if he has lost a step, maybe he has. I think the commentators were right in his case…the moment and the stage was too much for him perhaps. The dunks he was trying were difficult and he could never get his steps or his dribble right. His timing was bad. If you look at his youtube dunks, his rhythm and timing were much better. At one point, I was wondering why he was even dribbling at all last night.

IndianaBasketballParticipantJames White laid an egg. This disappointment will follow him forever because this is all he can do pretty much.
I was very disappointed in White and Gerald Green. The whole dunk contest sucked to be honest.

MalcolmxParticipantThe contest sucked. I knew E bled had bounce but I didn’t know he could pull off some of the dunks he did. That 360 between the legs was tough.Even though he did alot of attempts. That is not an easy dunk especially at that height.

BigChamp12ParticipantI think James White has declined since years ago and put on some weight, but last night showed he could still fly. He didnt miss the dunk because of anything that had to do with jumping. It was in and out several times. When i was watching him miss dunk after dunk I told my Dad it has to be either he’s nervous or the balls had to be slippery. The switch hand windmill dunk he was trying was very hard to do without good grip. I think James White tweeted last night that the balls were terrible and he couldnt really grip them.

RafterParticipantJames White is a name that is synonymous with dunking, it’s a shame that the casual fan will only see him as a benchwarmer. It’s tough for him because he’s known for performing insane dunks and he was on the largest platform to showcase his talent and yet he couldn’t deliver. He has nothing to prove to the section of passionate basketball fans. He was an afterthought on what was a pretty mediocre dunk contest, that will eat away at him.

GoJOSH HUESTISParticipantHe did the free throw line dunk as well as a foot behind it earlier this week. The issue was that this is the big stage now with much more pressure in front of Millions as well as some of the best players in the world. Pressure can be a very strong thing when you have never been in a situation like this. Sucks for the DMV but it happens
