If the draft goes like it is suppost to go the best players left for the pistons are James Johnson & Earl Clark. If i was Joe D I would take James Johnson. Better Jumper, Clutch, Could Lead team with some NBA experience. But they are both all around solid guys they could pick any one of them. But they could get picked on the lottery. Because that would not be a waste of a pick. Earl Clark has better Size than James, and can play a little bit better ‘D’ but who knows it could be anyone?

I was reading the Freep today and it sounds like the Pistons are still very interested in trading away #15. That would give them about $21.6m to go after a few proven players with, or save some of that money for next years FA class.

I think it would be a mistake to take James Johnson. He benefitted from playing with Teague for 2 years. Look at Damion James, him and Johnson are similar players. Long and athletic, good rebounders, fall in love with the jumpshot a little too much, but high energy, high motor guys. Damion looked awful after Augustin left. I think Johnson will look just as bad playing with Stuckey. They should pick Earl Clark, he has a better face up game, is a bit bigger, and he doesn’t need a good point guard to get him a shot.

They do need youth, but at 15 in a weak-to-avg draft are they going to find something worth having?

Clark is the better player to me, but the Pistons really like that Walter Sharpe guy they drafted last year that no one had ever heard of, and he is pretty much the same player as Clark. They wouldnt draft another wing
