bobbybParticipantIf the Thunder cant keep James Harden ,that would mean their entire rebuilding process was for NOTHING. He was the last piece of the puzzle. They did a perfect tear down job coupled with great drafting of young players. Look at the steady progression , 2 bad years, then playoffs- then Western conf Finals, then Finals. The next step for them is to win it all. Look how important 6th men have been in recent years
LA . Lamar Odom
SA Manu Ginonli
MAVs. Jason Terry
without those pieces, those teams would not have been as successful

aamir543ParticipantI agree, but OKC isn’t stupid, either they’re going to sign Harden to an extension and swallow the luxary tax or they’re going to flip him for a solid young but cheaper piece. I’m not worried abou this situation for the Thunder, they’ll figure it out.

Lebron’s HairlineParticipantI’m sure okc will want to keep him but harden wants a max contract not a deal similar to serge. Even if the thunder amnesty Perkins I don’t think they can afford harden if he is set on only a max deal, if he plays at a high level again some other team will offer James a max deal(magic, bobcats, suns, mavs?)

RUDEBOY_ParticipantPeople keep talking about Harden because he’s a free agent next year. But i think they’re going to resign him…
But I Think the player on the Spot this season is Kendrick Perkins..In all the years he’s been in the nba, he has never averaged double figures in rebounds, havent developed a post game and his defense is vastly overrated…..And the weight he lost, took away some of his effectiveness, because he doesnt have that big body to push people around inside…

BostonkingsParticipantSam Presti is gonna make sure he locks up Harden for the next 4-5 years. No doubt about it, they will be hit the hard with the luxury tax but he will do it. Tbh, I don’t really want them to amnesty Perkins, I know he won’t lock down D12, but he will give him problems, that’s why I just don’t see the Lakers beating OKC.
