JoeWolf1I’m really looking forward to see what Jameel McKay has to offer for Iowa State this season. McKay was a 2 time All-American for Indian Hills CC and transfered from Marquette after the fall semester this past season. I’m sure Dustin Hogue (also IHCC) helped bring him to Ames, but he’ll bring some length and shot blocking that ISU is often void of because of their small ball style of play.
He’s a bit wirey at 6’8” 210 lbs, but he has a monster wingspan and can do a little bit of everything on offense. Including putting the ball on the floor, facing up and he’s shown some nice moves in the post as well. He’s also a quick footed, long defender.
Because of transfer rules, he’ll be ineligable for Iowa State’s first 9 games, but I’m very intrigued by his skillset and physical tools. I’ve yet to see him play first hand, as his last season of basketball was at IHCC in 2012-13, but I’m excited to see what he has to offer. I’m unqualified to declare him an NBA talent, but he’s got some nice tools and I’m excited to see what he can do on the D1 stage.

TRC1991ParticipantThe Cyclones were a Georges Niang broken foot away from winning it all last year. Fred Hoiberg has built a solid program to say the least

Hi its BenParticipantYou’re saying they would have beat UConn despite the Huskies knocking off pseudo-number one seed MSU and an extremely talented Kentucky team in the final? I don’t think so.

JoeWolf1Assuming they would have won it all is a stretch, but I think they would have beat UConn. They lost by 5 with a 16 ppg scorer on the bench.

TRC1991ParticipantFred Hoiberg said he thought they would have won it all had everyone been healthy. I don’t disagree with him.
