he_gets_bucketsParticipantHonestly I don’t think they have the resources to put much effort into the site. It still looks like a site from 2003, theres lots of dead links, theres a lot of "coming soon" features that have been "coming soon" since I started posting. Hell, even the conference posts are just done by posters they got to do it. This sites pretty much entirely fueled by us at this point. Haven’t seen Arin or any other mods comment on anything for a long time.

holefillers1ParticipantI tend to agree with the site. Murray has potential, but you can only play that card for so long. He is a great spot up shooter. Maybe one day he is Reggie Miller. Right now he is a SG with a good handle slightly above average athleticism and an inability to get to the basket. He had 17pts the other night, Zero free throw attempts. When I think of combo gaurds with his skill set guys like Jrue Holiday and JJ Redick come to mind. He is probably a better shooter than Jrue but I’m not sure he does anything else better. I know how much love is out there for Jamal, just step back and look at his game. Forget numbers and watch him try to beat his man off the dribble…not top ten

Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantStranger things have happened but it seems hard to imagine Murray makes it out of the lottery unless something happens to drastically change people’s opinions between now and June.
Kind of curious as to why Stephen Zimmerman is still listed as a lottery pick. He has some decent potential but is nowhere near NBA ready imo. I would actually be surprised if he came out this year.

TripleDoubleScoutParticipantI am of split minds on this. Clearly Murray will be a lottery pick, but only because it is a weak-to-average, one to 1 and a half (lol) superstar draft this year. Murray at 15 would not be crazy in the 2014 or even 2015 drafts. I think this site’s current mock projection is a reflection of their evaluation that Murray is a good, but not elite NBA prospect. I will throw this bone for Murray’s biggest supporters: the guy he is often compared to, Brandon Roy, was NOT considered a future All-NBA superstar coming out of college, but rather a good starter-level building block to a future contending team. Roy as we all know became more than that, putting together the start of a HOF resume before chronic injuries ruined his career.

IlladelphParticipantdraftexpress.com is far superior to this site when it comes to the mock drafts, scouting reports, and overall content. What makes this site special is the forums. We are all passionate about the game, and this site by far has the best group of posters who make the forums here entertaining to read, and occasionally educational too.

tuck243ParticipantI think Jamal is better than 15 in this draft personally.
NBADraft.net has in most ways been the same ish for a long time. Last year they asked what we would like to see added and they were going to update the look of the site. Nothing else was said and nothing was done. I understand Aran might be busy with real life and growing in general, but he’s collecting money from this site. He gets privileges and invited to events that involves NBA, College, and HS players. All luxuries he obtains by the digital traffic he receives from “US”. Make no mistake about that one bit. He needs us and he’s dragging his feet on updating this site. Which from a business standpoint is piss poor.
Mopgrass you see all these ads on the site? Aran’s getting paid with us coming to this site daily. Per clicks and if you click on an ad, its additional money. It’s 2016, every YouTube watch, like, or subscribe is important for marketing/ads which equals money for the YouTuber. Kevin Hart receives EXTRA money for his movies because he has millions of followers on social media, which he uses it to his advantage. So, to think we don’t have a right to complain to someone who’s benefitting from us, means you lack total awareness to how this stuff works.
Here’s some of the SEO stats for this site…

Know your worth, regardless if you think it’s "free" or not. Or just a site. Snapchat is worth $40 Billion…

MatosParticipantI still like Murray. Think he’s a leader. His game will translate better in the NBA. He’s got a knack of taking the ball in his hands and making plays. In that regards he’s agressive. Sort of the swagger you need to poduce on the big stage.

NBAjunkie81Participanthis own shot & getting to Rim but could not shoot….. Now he’s shooting well from outside & people say the opposite….. I like Murray, he can get Create own shot, he’s got Leadership skills & his game translates to the NBA, I can not see him falling out of the Top 10….
I don;t know how Dunn is moving so high, the NBA GM’s usually punish older college players & Dunn is a guy who returned to college b/c it looked like he would be Drafted in 2nd half of the 1st round – other PG’s were passing him…..
right now this Draft looks weak, so Dunn is rising, but we’ll se what happens as we move into the spring & the Draft talk heats up…..

holefillers1ParticipantThats the problem right there. People say this and people say that. All I have to do is watch. He is too slow footed to beat anyone in the NBA off the dribble. His defense will suffer the same fate. Kris Dunn is in the mold of Dwayne Wade. He is bigger, faster plays better defense and all these things will carry over to the next level, when I watch Murray I see none of that. He could stay in college two more years or go right to the NBA but he wont be any faster. Also he is not a PG. Good luck taking this guy at two or three. Bet you were high on Andrew Harrison too.

circumlocution75ParticipantWhen he played for team Canada, scouts got a glimpse of how his game trnslates to the Pro game…. He is a Much better shooter than people originally realized & he can create his own shot….
If Phila is picking at 3 or 4 – they should grab Murray….. He’s better than any of the combo guards taken in the 2015 Draft & he is only going to get better….. By the time the March Madness ends, Murray’s stock will explode & with good reason….

UncledrewParticipantMurray is as polished a true freshman can be. There’s alot of pressure for him to put up points for a Kentucky team where it’s best big is averaging 9 points(skal). Nba spacing will help him be a more productive driver in the nba. He’s not an elite athlete but he knows how to make plays and is fearless in clutch time. I can’t see him falling out the top 10. Kris Dunn is the only guard currently better in this draft.

GBeeParticipantHe’s still good but if you’re projecting him as a SG as opposed to a PG he loses some of his luster as a prospect. He’d just be an OK athlete there with slightly below average SG size. I think he can still handle point duties, but I think he’s more of a conservative pick who’s ceiling isn’t that high for that position. If he can be an average starter that’s great. For the majority of this year’s lotto I think that’s the most you can expect bc it’s so weak.
In a system with continuity and multple handlers or established players to feed and play off of, I think he’d be fine. But in a system where he’s expected to be the primary handler and creator I think he’d struggle. I just don’t see enough shiftiness, creativity or breakdown ability in his game. Brandon Roy he ain’t.
