I would think Crowder would go early second round especially with the success of Kenneth Faried. Both are undersized power forwards, Faried has that nonstop motor but Crowder is a much better shooter.

By the look of it right now he doesn’t.. I mean even Aran can make mistakes sometimes..

That said Crowder doesn’t have a very high ceiling IMO so him going undrafted isn’t a complete farce.. He’s a undersized PF with not very good ups, a very limited face up game and not enough perimeter skill or lateral quickness to play and defend SF effectively at the next level.. I don’t buy his 3p range either, he won’t be getting wide open looks at the bucket like he was at Marquette and he doesn’t have a high release on his jumper…

He does have a great nose for the ball and plays with a lot of energy though.. Sounds poor man’s Kevin Jones to me (who incidentally does have a high release and decent perimeter skills and lateral quickness) and considering the fact we’re talking about Kevin Jones going end 1st/early 2nd..

Cannot compare Crowder to Faried… Outside of them both having dreds, Faried is such an athlete and so much more explosive. Right now Faried makes the explosiveness and energy of everyone else on the court in the Denver Lakers series look pedestrian… Crowder plays with a lot of energy but doesn’t have the athletic gifts to back it up like Faried does.

If Crowder goes to the combine and blows people away like I think he can , he will get drafted in the second round much like David Noel got drafted largely off being a combine freak.  Unfortunately he is a 6’6 235 PF and that does not translate to the NBA.

i’m in the crowder bandwagon. players like him find a role on teams quick.

plus, i see him as a SF as opposed to a undersized PF. kevin jones is not laterally quicker or has a better shot or perimeter game…

Crowder has guards skills though even though he played the 4/5, he is kind of like an unathletic D Wade

I was asking this at the end of the season then they had him in there at the end of the second round and now hes back off. He’s going to be on NBA team next year with his motor, defense and solid 20 foot jumper. Plus if Lazar Hayward can get drafted first round, no reason Crowder shouldnt get drafted.

There really is no case at all for anyone to regard Draymond Green as a late first round or early second round pick and be largely dismissive of Jae Crowder. The only difference is that Jae Crowder was a juco transfer and therefore was only great for two years, but that is the draft for you. It happens every year. I actually think Crowder showed more athleticism and versatility, though I tend to believe both are going to be backups in a draft where they get into guys whose skills or lack there of instantly make them backups.

I love Jae Crowder, he’s a winner, competitive and extremely clutch. He doesn’t move very fast and cant explode but he can be a Udonis Haslem type off the bench

I think he has early to mid 2nd round talent.

It’s mind-boggling how underrated he is. Not even listed as a late 2nd rounder?

Jae Crowder is a player. He’s physically tough, plays D, rebounds, can shoot, very good passer and he’s a heady player. And I think he’s mistakenly being listed as an undersized PF when he can play the 3. He can defend the SF position and shoot.

I don’t like that he’s trying to lose weight and transition to the 2 though. Definitely a turn off.

I read somewhere Jae Crowder stated he wants to play shooting guard. So there’s that.

     i think he said that so people realize that he’s a 3. is clear he’s a 3, not a 2

Does nobody think he can carve out a career like Jared Dudley? I think he has the talent and drive to be successful. I would draft him in the second round.
