joe2324ParticipantThe bucks are playing great and have been since Parker got hurt. Gianis has stepped up as a top tier talent and is a great leader. Does Parker’s style fit with this teams long term goals? What immediate needs do the Bucks have that they can address by moving Parker?

Numbers_CruncherParticipantKhris Middleton got back?

Anton123ParticipantThe Bucks still haven’t played a single game with the trio of Middleton-Antetokounpo-Parker, the team struggled without shooting, with Middleton and Maker in the starting 5 their shooting has improved, which has helped Antetokounmpo, I think it has nothing to do with Parker’s injury.
I’m sure they at least try them out together before just trading him away.
Brogdon 6’5”
Middleton 6’8”
Antetokounmpo 6’11
Parker 6’9”
Maker 7’0”
Is a crazy lineup with crazy length. Parker’s improved 3pt jumper will make this a terrific shooting team.

MopgrassParticipantParker is the only one in that group who isn’t tall for his position. He doesn’t fit the theme that way. I don’t think that’s a make or break issue.
As for the draft, I agree they still need shooting. Still, I’m sure they’ll be upset when Jonathan Isaac is nabbed before they can get to him. Harry Giles might even be an interesting guy to go with their theme: tall, lanky, athletic, and switchable.

HitsterParticipantJabari has been unlucky with injuries and was in good form prior to his latest setback. I don’t see the Bucks looking to move him and they would be unable to until he is fit anyway or they would not get full value.
Especially if Greg Monroe opts out and moves on, the Bucks will see Jabari as a key part of their team going forward. They may even look to renew him this summer, maybe get him extended for less than he could be next summer especially if he comes back strong next year. His people may be prepared to do a deal given Jabari’s injury record and to get extra guaranteed money in the back.
When you look at that line up apart from the size, the other thing that jumps out is the upside. Giannis and Jabari are only 22, Kris Middleton is still only 25. Brogdon has just played his rookie year although he is 24 and The Maker has just turned 20 and is only beginning to scratch the surface of his upside.
They can probably add a shooter via the draft too and picking at 17, someone might fall to them or gets within their draft range to trade up for. The guy who has fallen down mocks a bit recently is Frank Ntilikina and his wingspan and defensive ability could appeal to John Hammond and Jason Kidd. Even if the Freak remains the main ball carrier Frank N could play off ball and defend a number of positions.
I could see the Bucks perhaps looking to trade up and get him.
John Hammond tends to draft well so I’d back him and Kidd to find the right fit for the Bucks.

Memphis MadnessParticipantJabari Parker: Elite 6th man?
Giannis is THE GUY. Maybe Thon Maker will be the second guy.
If the Bucks get another Big then you have lots of size with Gianni’s at the 3 and Middleton at the 2.
Problem: not the best draft for them at 17 and 47 but maybe not the worst either since they already have a lot of their core.
This site has them taking Kennard at 17. Ok pick. Unless they go with those big lineups then he is your crafty, but unexplosive 6th man. If they want a 2 guard who can get his own shot and be another offensive weapon then what about Grayson Allen? Is he coming out? They could have a really good Duke bench mob along with Jabari Parker.
At 17, I like them going with a big instead. A guy to put next to Thon. What about Bam adebayo, or, better yet, Jordan Bell? They can get Bell if they trade the 17th pick to the Nets for 22 and 27. Bell is a rebounder and shot blocker who can also dunk. With their other pick at 27 they can go with Sindarious Caldwell — a solid two guard who can score. Then with their pick at 47, they can go local with Nigel Hayes, a solid blue collar utility player at either forward spot.

Memphis MadnessParticipantThe Bucks pick is at 48. If they also get the Nets pick at 57 they can get Nigel Hayes there. At 48 they can go get their backup point guard or the future with Frank Mason Jr.
That draft would give them a solid if unathletic, ok, VERY unathletic bench mob of Mason, Caldwell, Parker, Hayes, and Monroe. Yep. A law firm pickup basketball team at the local YMCA.

SwatLakeCityParticipantI think the Wolves would say no that deal. Jabari can be your star player, but he’s not there yet. He needs to add more strength, especially if he thinks he’s a small forward. He has the size, the athleticism, and the shooting for it. But he doesn’t have the strength for it.
The Bucks I think would love to add Lavine, but the Wolves have no reason to trade Lavine or even use Jabari. They already have a great athletic 3 in Wiggins. If you think Jabari can be a 4, then he is a small 4 and a bench player, and two you are just wrong. He has the athletcisim of a 3, the size of a 3 and the shooting for it so let him be that. Just give him time to develop the strength for it. He needs to go to a team that doesn’t have a 3. Maybe the Kings would be a better team for him. There he can learn both the 3 and the 4 and decide for himself which is better. The Kings need both a 3 and 4 as well as a PG.

Besides they would Never get proper value for him

machu46ParticipantYeah, the value is the big factor here. Jabari is a really special talent, but do to the injuries, the Bucks probably wouldn’t get a haul in return which is what they should be pushing for if they were to trade him.
There’s really no reason the main 3 shouldn’t be able to play together anyways; it should be fine when he returns.

HeroescantdieParticipantI don’t see why they should trade parker. He is a legitimate big time scorer once he consistenly knock down 3pt shot. the bucks can run the offense through him, I know middleton can score too but he’s not on the level of parker in a way which he can socre in and out,and while giannis exhibits his freak potential and versatiliy I think parker is more gifted offensively than giannis but giannis is their best player.
Having a core of Middleton Giannis and parker screams matchup problem for opponents and have the potential to change the way the NBA played just like the warriors did. I’m note saying it would happen but they have the potential to do so. Surround this core with the likes of Bogdon high IQ gury, low ego, with the two way potential of maker in the sense of Shot blocking and outsie shooting I think they are set. But let’s wait for Jabari’s recovery, if he can be back to his pre 2nd acl tear.

akhan786ParticipantI think theor improvement was more to do with the entire team finally gelling as a result of it being near the All-Star break coupled with the readditon of Middleton’s shooting that has greatly improved spacing. I think they would be even better now with Jabari which makes me sad because a fully healthy Bucks team at this age would be fun to see against the Cavs next round. Should still be exciting to see the possible future face of the league against LeGoat.

The GoatParticipantLavine is terrible. He can jump out the gym and score the ball, but needs a high volume of shots, cannot get his without disrupting others and he is a worse defender than Harden
