ReturnofthelemonParticipantJust saw on the Sportscenter Twitter page that the Knicks have begun shopping Smith.
Where do you think he might end up?

Moon RiverParticipantI did not completely understand why the Bulls traded for Smith back in the summer of 2006 and than promptly traded him to Denver within 6 days for Howard Eisley and 2 second round picks. I do now.

TyroberParticipantThey won’t be able to give Smith away. He is a headache off the court and is playing terrible.

TarHeelRavenParticipantI really can’t stand J.R. Smith, I think he is a perfect example of a talented guy who nobody should pick up because the negatives of his terrible attitude and just plain idiotic behavior greatly outweigh his basketball talent. I remember he signed with North Carolina beofre he decided to go pro right out of high school. He was in the same class as Marvin Williams and would’ve been a freshman on thr 2005 national championship team. I think if he had played at Carolina, he would’ve really messed up team chemistry and drove Roy Williams mad with his incredibly immature behavior.

Corka ColaParticipantAlso remember that he has 2.5 years of his contract left, which is so tough to get rid of in today’s NBA. It would take draft picks (which the Knicks don’t have until 2018), young players like Shumpert or Hardaway Jr., or other contract giants like a Carlos Boozer or Joe Johnson albatross deal. The Knicks should not be interested in pursuing any of these, it was just their own fault for signing him for 3 years.

FastAndFuriousParticipantShame that he has all that talent and just let it goes to waste, dude literally TALENT WISE is as good as any SG in the NBA(Besides the top 3) and he’s not too far from them.
It seems to me he played real well last year to only get a big paycheck, I thought he was going to come in this year and really set the league on fire, instead he’s untying people’s shoes.

XYRYXParticipantI really can’t believe he tried it again against the Pistons right after the Mavs game where everyone already expected actions from the league. How dumb can one guy be but I also think he might be a guy who has a bet ongoing with a buddy to do it one more time just for a blunt or a beer – which might tell you the most about his character.
He will be broke 2 years after he is out of the league.

Sharp ShooterParticipantHe’s in the same category as Andrew Bynum…(A headache for any team on/off the court and uninterested in basketball)

ChewyParticipantwhy I always find myself saying, "I wish we had a player LIKE JR Smith to be our 6th man." Want nothing to do with the ACTUAL JR Smith.

NYK2010ParticipantWoodson needs to bench him and play Hardaway more instead.
Maybe when Prigioni comes back they’ll cut JR’s mins.
Jacking up 3s all the time he’s just killing the team.
