Seamo15ParticipantEveryone has there player who they follow for years, maybe from as early as high school or maybe you saw them during march madness and became a fan. Either way this player has always shown you promise but never quite become what you saw them as. Mine was Hak warrick. At the start of every seasons I reckon it’ll be his breakout, never quite happens. Whose your guy that you follow like this ?

NickWayne87ParticipantOJ Mayo, Devin Harris having another season like that allstar season he had, Johnny Flynn…….i have more when I think of them…..
I was following OJ mayo ever since he was being called the next Lebron in like the 9th grade….i was in the 11th grade at the time and he’s only 2 months younger than me so that may have had something to do with it lol…..this was in 2003 they were calling him the NEXT LeBron before LeBron became the FIRST LeBron lol….
oh yeah Yi Jianlian was another…..

Seamo15ParticipantI think Mayo in a different environment and Flynn with some solid game time are still a show. Flynn was part of that Houston bench with Jordan Hill, Terrence Williams and Hasheem Thabeet that set each player back 1 1/2 years of their careers. Seeing how Hill and Williams have gone at LA and Sac, I think there’s still a chance for Flynn.

NickWayne87Participantwas Chen Jianghua…..he’s 23(? never know with those chinese players) and at the time which was around the timeYi Jianlian was coming over this site was comparing him to allen iverson. Yeah allen iverson plus he was 6’2 with a 40 inch vert…..I don’t remember what happened but he never came over.

Seamo15ParticipantWith the Olympics coming up he might get a bit of spotlight, certainly pushed Patty Mills into considerstion at the Beijing Olympics

ilike.panochasParticipantI’ve always rooted for Jarryd Bayless. Always shown flashes, but either consistent minutes or injury has held him back from success. I still think he has time to get it together and be a starting PG/SG.

benny15Participanti liked Derrick Zimmerman. knew he dint have a jumper but was a pass first slashing point guard who was great at D. puzzled me on how Rondo can find so much success in the league when this kind is of the simillar mold but cant get back in.
Omar Cook is another player i really liked. felt a pass first point guard like him is something most teams could use, but at the end of the day, he got his last shot in the training camp of the Bobcats when they were first assembled and made it till the final cut but dint make the roster. this guy to me is the worst case scenario for Kendall Marshall.

IndianaBasketballParticipantI’m close to giving up on Rodrigue Beaubois

Wavy BagelsParticipantJordan Crawford and Anthony Morrow. They are good for what they do, but I lost hopes that they will exceed their potential as players, especially Morrow.

drk3351Participantfor me some players include Acie Law a few years ago. Yi Jianlian, and Jonny Flynn.

M-DYMESParticipantRashard McCants. Gave up on him a few years back. It’s hard to develop when you can’t get a foot in the door.

RUDEBOY_Participant1.Terrance Williams-Saw alot of Andre Iguodala in his game…
2.Marvin Williams-I didnt see anything special from him while he was at UNC….But thought maybe there would be a chance he’ll be another 1 of their players that would be better as a pro…
3.Jordan Farmer-I thought he’ll be a solid guard that could score about 12 pts & 5 assts a game..
4.Cole Aldrich-Havent given up on him..Becuz he hasnt been given a chance to play..But i’ll love to see what he can do if he gets at least 25 minutes a night..
5.Tiago Splitter-I heard so much hype about him ,couldnt wait to see him play..He’s still have a nice career as a backup or part time starter..But he’ll never be a star…

frogmanParticipantTyrus Thomas – Saw him for LSU in March Madness throwing down dunks on every player in the NCAA and blocking like 5 shots a game, i loved him, and the fact that his name was Tyrus only sweetened the deal.
Turned into an OK role player on the Bulls and when he left for Charlotte I was so excited thinking he would get 35 mins a game and put up 15/10/2 comfortably.
Fast forward a bit and he is warming the bench for the worst team in NBA history when he is not getting beat up by his 68 year old coach.
Kudos to you Tyrus

frogmanParticipantAnd whoever said Morrow will never live up to his potential… Dude he went undrafted and is now averaging 12 points in the NBA. Don’t know what the hell you were hoping he was going to do.

Meditated StatesParticipantTy Thomas just does not seem to get it. Farmar I thought would be a starter by now and a much better shooter. I still have faith in Beasley but he’s has not been allowed to be aggressive consistently.

wenichParticipantisn’t this the guy who killed Trayvon Martin…
0 - Posted on: Sun, 05/20/2012 - 8:43am #671858

Shook_OnesParticipantI thought he’d for sure breakout this year. Started 64 games and only averaged 6 points and 3 boards.
