redone1ParticipantThis kid was a 5 star player coming out a few years ago but has been held back by injuries for the first 2 years of his career. This year he is healthy and showing that he should be a lock first rounder and perhaps even a lottery pick. He reminds me of John Wall when he was at Kentucky(Hold your horses, not saying he is anywhere near the prospect Wall was, just that he has similar physical traits/abilities). When he gets the ball off a rebound and begins to accelerate he just blows by everyone. He needs to get his shot to be more consistent but I’m not too worried about that as it doesn’t appear to be comletely broken.
6’3 with a 6’9 wingspan is great size for a point guard. Add that to his elite athleticism and ability to get to the rack whenever he wants and you have the makings of a great NBA point guard. The major thing holding him back right now are his turnovers. He simly does not take care of the ball and it is a glring hole. Hopefully he will be able to get that under control because I think he has a very bright future in the league. If I was a team picking towards the end of the lottery and was in need of a future point guard, I would certainly take a chance on this guy.

Well written article basically agreeing with your analysis. Like the part about him knowing his strengths and weaknesses and knowing how to play to those. I think by the time May rolls around his name is going to be mentioned in the column and podcast community in the way that Elfrid Payton’s was last year, in that so many "experts" are gonna have him as their "sleeper" that you are gonna start to wanna pull your hair out when you hear his name. Personally I hope he stays an extra year so he can play with what I believe is a very good looking class of Providence incoming freshman so far.

IhateusernamesParticipantThe only reason people would have a problem with a Dunn/Wall comparison is because he goes to Providence. He didnt choose UCONN (his other finalist) out of HS but UCONN has more of a history of top draft picks so people would more likely feel better hyping him up if he played there.
But he was a monster HS prospect who would probably be in the league already if not for shoulder problems
