WalkaFlockaParticipantPer ESPN tweet, Joel Embiid has officially declared for the draft.
Good move by him. Who’s the next domino to fall after this?

PhogifyParticipantAnd he’s moved back in first on this site, makes me curious of the reason for that.

strobox88ParticipantWith the performances Wiggins and Parker had in the tourney, the only thing holding back Embiid from the #1 pick is a red flag concerning his back (and the possibility of Milwaukee getting the number 1 pick as they probably would draft a SF if they don’t want to wait on Embiid’s development).

allanwexlerParticipantI love the guy (Joel Embid) and believe it would be a no brainer IF his health issues hadn’t appeared. Wonky backs don’t seem to go away and with teams a liitle shy of injury plagued players I’d be hesitant to take him so early. If he becomes "Greg Oden 2" it would be a huge loss for a team which has other alternatives. I know a back injury is different that a knee injury, but the extent to which he was disabled this year makes me very nervous

Magic JordanParticipantI think it’s safe to assume Randle will follow the one and done theme at Kentucky.
That just leaves Parker unless I am missing someone which I probably am, but of the heavy hitters only Parker is left.
Does anybody know off the top of their head if the lottery happens because the final day to declare for the draft? It would be interesting if he waited just to see who ends up around the top pick, but I don’t know if that’s possible.

JoeWolf1Don’t take what I said as anything but a joke. I’m a KU fan.

ChewyParticipantI meant that as a stand alone comment. Not a tack on to yours. Sorry if I wasn’t very clear with my post… I’m a KU fan too and I hope we get him.
I personally think Turner was just waiting for Embiid to be gone for sure before he commits. UK frontcourt looks a little too crowded, even with WCS gone to NBA.

JoeWolf1You’re cool, I just didn’t want people to think I had read something that indicated Turner committing.
KUs front court is bordering crowded too, but they could still find plenty of minutes for Cliff, Myles and Perry if explored Ellis at the 3 in certain sets since he can stretch the floor a bit. Still I’d love to have him.
Texas has Ridley, Holmes and Ibeh too. SMU might be a dark horse in this race.

HoopLandParticipantHe won’t start infront of Perry Ellis, or Cliff A.

Lotto StudParticipantJust seemed like a week ago Parker may have been a lock for Milwaukee if they so happened acquired the #1 overall. Crazy how things sway once Sanders starts to cut up.
