Folks the NBA draft is just hours away and for most of us it’s a national holiday. For the last 6 years me and my buddies celebrate by playing drinking games. In 2009 I didn’t make it out of the first round, blacked out around Ty Lawson. Never again…. But typically we make bold predictions shots, and certain players getting drafted and always a shot for whomever the Suns take (typically to numb the pain(Alex Len)) .

But I was just wondering on what you guys do for such a celebratory day??

My Dad and I have watched almost every draft together since the early 90s. The Jazz host a draft party every year, and we’ve been to it so many times. My Dad’s getting a little older now though, so we usually just watch it on TV. He usually starts to nod off around pick 15-20 but I watch everything from the pre draft up until about midnight.

 

So many funny stories through the years. In the early 90s the Jazz needed a Big and I saw there was this guy names "Ervin Johnson" who was over 7 feet tall. I was screaming at the Jazz Party. TAKE ERVIN!!!!! I think I was 9 years old at the time. We took Luther Wright. Ugh. I was right.

Then there was the time I was screaming "Take Luke Babbit!!!" When we took Gordon Hayward. I was so mad.

Last time I was very opinionated was when the Jazz were drafting 15. I wanted Kawhi Leonard and I was thrilled that he was still on the board…… Alec Burks. Good pick, but not the best pick.

-Suns pick (all 3 first rounders…?)
