TallmanNYCParticipantIt is just an early regular season contest between two middling East Coast teams. But Joe Johnson put on an ISO classic in the fourth quarter of Nets vs Pistons. Find the highlights if you can. He took and made four consecutive shots to put the game away. And he scored 15 out of 17 to 2 run that the Nets took.
His ISO game is really fun to watch sometimes. I would describe it as this very pure form of ISO. He doesn’t really use speed. He almost never gets a call from the Ref, so the whole thing doesn’t get broken up for free throws. It is just him and his defender. He throws a series of steps and application of strength and leverage until he gets to his spot and then he uses his height and his touch to get the shot off. It isn’t beutiful basketball in the traditional sense of ball movement and team play. But it is an amazing thing to watch.
It is by the way, very different from Melo and Kobe as when they get going like this there is speed involved and they will get calls from the refs. This is just methodical and slow.

Lotto StudParticipantMy personal favorite "Tweener" in the history of the NBA. When we list our favorite players by position, I can never throw his name on my list, because he can play the 1-3 spots. Future reference people, add the Tweener position when in discussion of our favorite players. I get bothered a lot by leaving Joe off my list every time I post.

DukeDaSquadParticipantTop 3 clutch performer in the NBA. That stat before the season on the brooklyn nets season preview or nba gametime really showed that. If you watch nba tv religiously like I do then you will know what I am talking about.
Great scorer and player but is often overlooked because he is sometimes inconsistent

apb540ParticipantNot to rain on your parade WindyCity, but I’ve always viewed Joe Johnson as a shooting guard. I mean he can handle the ball and has the strength to play some minutes at the 3, but I’ve always thought he was a 2 guard.
