Another big night for him posting 38, 9, and 5 in a win against Houston. He is second in the league in scoring averaging 28.9ppg, and 6.2apg with a 27 PER. The Celtics are 27-18 which is a half of a game behind the second place Raptors. So my question is, how isn’t he top 5 in the MVP race? The latest race release has Harden leading followed by Westbrook, Durant, LeBron, and Kawhi. And don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying that any of these guys are undeserving for being top 5 for MVP right now because they are all killing it, but in my opinion I think IT4 is just a little bit more deserving of it.  I know I might get some hate for this, but I’d go as far as saying he should be ahead of LeBron and possibly even Durant in the race right now.  The reason for this is because Isaiah is carrying his team similar to what Harden and Westbrook are doing.  Durant has been a more efficient version of what he was in OKC so like I said, he’s not undeserving but I absolutely love what Thomas is doing right now. And I’d put him ahead of LeBron right now because of the struggles that Cleveland has been having lately.  In my opinion he has now separated himself as the best point guard in the East, so do you guys think he should be top 5 in the MVP race?

     My MVP Ladder is:

    1. Harden

    2. Westbrook

    3. Isaiah Thomas

I don’t really see any other competition

I’ll be damned if he’s not in the All-NBA 2nd team by the end of the season if he keeps up this play. He’s been killing it in the 4th quarter this season.

I wouldn’t ever have imagined that he would be this good. And his shooting percentage is going up around 46% which isn’t bad, which is even harder to believe for a guy that size. It’s still hard to really look at him as a superstar yet, because for his career he is known as a low percentage gunner on bad teams, but it’s not the case this year with his shooting percentage and the teams wins.
