After six relatively quiet years in the NBA, New Jersey’s starting power forward Kris Humphries is having quite a season, both on and off the court.
The 6’9 Minnesota native is averaging a career (and team) high of 9.6 rebounds while making a strong case for the NBA’s Most Improved Player Award. He also just happens to be dating reality TV star Kim Kardashian.
Calling it the “Kim Kardashian Effect”, many can’t help but notice the correlation between Humphries’ success this season and his recent romance.
“You know, it’s interesting. Just being around her, seeing how hard she works, and everyone in her family and what they do, it’s motivating for me,” Humphries said. “I want to be the best that I can be. I wouldn’t say it’s the only reason I’ve had a great year, but it definitely factors into that.”

Too bad he didn’t stay with the Jazz. I love his work ethic now. If he was still with the Jazz and has that same work ethic, him and Millsap would be impossible to stop and would be quite a combo.
Go Kris Humphries. If I watched the Nets, Humphries would be the reason why. I love watching blue collar hard working players go to work.

He’s always had that work ethic, the man worked his butt off with the Raptors. He’s just finally getting consistent minutes.

I have thought Humpries was a good playe for a while. He showed signs of the games he is having at every place he has been to. He just found a coach that will play him and actually trust his game. I think Avery Johnson should be a good coach for them not that they have Deron Williams.
