So is the site basically slowly dying?

There has been one draft realted article written in the past month, also one random article about international players. The one about draft prospects had a terrible amount of mistakes in it most of which were pointed out within a week and they still haven’t been corrected (even the word "French" is misspelled).

We still can’t create mock drafts, the last tweet by the site was made almost a month ago. Meanwhile the "rival" site is uploading astonishing amounts of content.

So, are we seeing the end of NBADraft.net? I’ve been here over six years and this is rather sad for me, but it is the most dead I have ever seen this site. The forum is still okay, but most of the best posters have left.

true this site has had the same articles up on the front page for awhile!!! usually it’s around late November when u can create mocks!!! so I wouldn’t worry about that until about that time!!!!   as far as posters leaving!!!!! I think Joe wolf’s computer crashed!!!! that’s y he ain’t Ben on in awhile!!!!  siggy got hired as a scout for the Spurs!! nomoney is a writer for jimmy fallen,he keeps sabotaging fallen’s skits causing jimmy to hurt himself.in other words nomoney is trying to take his job. Mctrill,mckrypt,mcdunkin or mcwhoever is busy reading over the script lifetime sent him about starring in the Kevin hart bio pic!!! Mdymes packed and moved to Colorado!!!! Marcus fizer hasn’t left his bathroom mirror since the invention of the selfie!!! rudeboy has pawned all of his belongings including his abs to pay for all the paternity suits!!!!! proud grandpa is on house arrest for impersonating a corpse!!! hale is recuperating in the hospital after having surgery to have a telephone removed from his butt!!!!! he thought that was how you got a booty call!!!! both teams played is on still on vacation!! after 3 years of a sexless marriage he discovered that the only way he can have sex with his obese wife was by Walkie Talkie!!!!  just kidding everyone!!!

The site is fine has a great following and the forum is strong.. This site gets a decent amount of unique clicks researching the analytics, long story short the site is making money without posting consistent unique content

 I hope this site isn’t dying!  I get what Anton123 is saying though.  Content and articles from what I remember were much more plentiful and of better quality.  Many things in life are cyclical and  I hope this site is just part of a normal stage in the life of a website.

The season just began, it should pick up steam soon.

The spam and trolls are definitely pushing people away, even myself. I used to wake up every morning, grab a cup of coffee, then login to nbadraft.net to read the new posts. It was something I actually looked forward to doing, but now days every post is a spam bot or a troll and I just have no desire to read the idiocy; therefore I don’t visit as often and even when I do visit I bypass 90% of the posts made.

I’ve been reading this site for 6-7 years and it’s definitely at its lowest point ever right now. I hope this isn’t the beginning of the end, I think as the season progresses and college starts it will pick up again, but it will never be back to it’s former glory days.

 I love this site.  My wife gets mad at me for being on too much.  I really wish they would have more updated scouting reports.  I love reading what this site says about rating players athleticism and quickness and how much I disagree with it.  Also, Ivan Rabb’s mug has been on the bottom of this page for almost a year it seems.  I think it’s time he comes down.

NEWS TEAM… ASSEMBLE!!!! *tumbleweed rolls by*

So I will always have love for this site. The trolls and spam kind of pushed me to reddit’s NBA page (good for links) in all honest but I always check here when I can. This was great on so many levels. 3 reasons why I love this site and will continue to support:

1) Basketball knowledge – some of the best insights came from users who share your same passion for the game of basketball. We can’t cover every game so it was nice to get good prespectives. And truth be told, they’re still there. Life happens and I can understand why it gets hard for people to keep up.  

2) The community – I’ll speak for myself but maybe others will relate but I’m not really a social / cool person. I’m kind of a goofball but I do keep to myself and often find myself looking for ways to deal with being alone. And this forum was absolutely amazing for that. How you guys view me on here is your own opinion but you have always made me feel welcomed and it’s a nice community that can be extremely entertaining and makes you forget about life for a bit.

3) Simplicity – Compared to the site that shall not be mentioned, I preferred the way things were set up. However, this can be to a fault now as there have not been any major upgrades to the site so we would have liked a little bit of upgrades there. Still, it doesnt feel overwhelming.

But as mentioned, the NBA is back, NCAA will be starting soon and I expect users to show more frequently. This site will always have my support and I hope it does not go away any time soon.
