valentineThere hasn’t been a Filipino basketball player in the NBA but does the #1 Filipino Basketball Prospect in the world have a chance to even get picked in the 2nd round? He does have a legit NBA sg size.

airenn34ParticipantHell No he is not and Im filipino. Not being a dick and I admire whenever there is a filipino athlete but what about Kobe Paras game screams out NBA talent? He’s not even better than Christian David out in Canada.

JoeWolf1Too early to tell. Look at the McDonald’s All-American roster every year and you’ll see a number of the best high school players every year not make it to the league, and guys who bust their butts for 4 years come out of nowhere and make a roster.
I’d consider him a longshot to make it to the next level, but he’s 6’6” and pretty athletic, so it’s not like he’ll have a size disadvantage as a 2 guard prospect. What he has right now is a pretty broad foundation, can shoot a little, handle the ball a little, play in the post a little, but I wouldn’t count him out before he’s ever played a college game…just say that he’s an extreme long shot.
