fj84utu389tu5ParticipantI remember looking on the nbadraft.net bio of Jan Vesely, and as of 2009, he was listed as under contract with his team until 2013. Does that mean if he’s drafted, he won’t be coming over this year? Does anyone know any more details about this? Please enlighten me if you can, thanks.

Nico4nicolasParticipantIt all depends on the contract, most young European players can join the NBA if they pay a certain amount of money. For Vesely, I believe it is not that big because he said he wanted to play in NBA next season. On the contrary, you can be certain that Nikola Mirotic won’t join the NBA for the next few seasons, the amount is not far from the one Ricky Rubio will have to pay.
I don’t know the numbers so I may be wrong but everything shows that he will join the US league next season.

In this article, he says he has a contract until 2013 and whether there is a buyout or not is up to the teams.
