KevinDurantRocksParticipantThere has been the rumor that boston and houston are in running for Rubio what do you guys think? Why would they want rubio if the have rondo

DeRozanfan11If they got the 2nd Pick they would probably take Thabeet.

HaleParticipantHonestly it makes no sense to me. If they want to trade for Rubio that is fine with me. I hate the Celtics and I hope they get worse, dumb trade if they do.

maravich44ParticipantNo for me too. Rubio is not a “Celtic” point guard. Hot dog, not fundamentally sound. They also have Rondo who despite his faults is a damn good talent.

GreenLanternParticipantActually it’s been revealed in a story last week that Rondo is actually a first class jerk who doesn’t get along with his teammates. Doc Rivers spoke to him repeatedly and called him out for ruining team chemistry. That said, it still doesn’t make sense to me, but if Rondo is traded that’s the rumored reason. I don’t believe it.

RickyRubio9Participanttake Thabeet if they were to get the 2nd pick to replace Mutombo and add some size to their frontcourt because we all know they are Undersized, but they could try to get Wizards pick and take a swingman like Derozen or Harden since they’ve been wanting one which is why we drafted Donte Greene last year, but traded him for a proven player like Artest.

tli232Look, throughout the last few years I’ve been intently following the NBA rumour mill, the Celtics have been linked to acquiring white players because apparently, The city of Boston loves their pretty white boys (Scalabrini, Szerbiak, etc) These aren’t my words, it’s just been widely published on many basketball forums. I think this Rubio rumour is just another half-baked idea which won’t happen. Of course it’ll be interesting to see rabid Celtics fans rave about how Rubio’s form on his jump shot is Bird-esque and if he doesn’t start, how he’ll revolutionize the sixth man position a la Havlicek. Of course, if Rubio Averages more than 5 assists, Boston fans will say he’s the illegitimate grandson of Legendary PG Bob Cousy.
However, it won’t happen though.

leppyParticipantrubio is a project player. i believe he is only 18 right now and he is going to need some time to develop into what people thinks he can be. he still needs to get a lot stronger. boston only has a 2-3 year period to win more championships they cant afford to wait

mb6297CaptainAmerica08 is right. Rondo is disruptive to the team and has ignored Doc Rivers’ in game demands throughout the year. Boston is looking to get rid of him.
Rondo also couldn’t hit a jumpshot to save his life.

Meditated StatesParticipantI don’t think they will get the titles they seek right now starting next year with Rubio so it is a bad trade. If they get Nash then Peace Rondo thats fine.
