Today, Iona lost to Fairfield 85-75 in the MAAC semifinal. Ive followed Iona  all year and I really like Glover and Machado so this one stings. They finish 25-7 (15-3) but have suffered losses to bad teams like Manhattan, Siena and Marshall. They dont really have a single quality win. Unfortunately, it looks like this squad will not be playing in the NCAA tourney. Surprising because this team leads the nation in scoring and assists. Too bad.

In other news, Creighton punches its ticket joining UNC-Asheville as the only other team to win their conference tournament. I believe Creighton being 27-5 will garner a 6 seed in the tournament.

Also teams whom I feel should not be playing in the NCAA tournament: Northwestern, NC State, Texas, South Florida, Xavier, Tennessee

Teams that should make it in: Oregon, VCU, Colorado, Miami, Colorado State

Name a quality win that either Oregon or Colorado have?

I am a hardcore Colorado fan and sadly we won’t make the tournament, Not sure why you put them in there?  We lost our final 2 games to oregon and got killed by Oregon state.  Our best wins were against cal and washington. (solid wins but not top 25 wins).. and we got killed by stanford twice. At 19-11,  That record doesn’t shine either.  Even if we made it to the pac 12 championship and lost we’d still not make it.  22-12 with no top 25 wins and not even able to beat oregon state on the road?   We have to win the Pac 12 Tournament to make it.   Next year is our year with 2 top 75 recruits coming in while having nba talent Roberson and some talented Freshman(or soph next year).  Our future is bright but we aren’t better than we were last year and last year we should’ve made it in over a couple teams but didn’t so I don’t understand how they’d let us in this year.  So we can hope we get a solid line in the Pac 12  Tourney that gives us a chance to win it all but Seems impossible if stanford or UCLA are in our way.

Double post sorry but yeah, Honestly maybe somehow Iona can make it in?  I mean last year there were some teams that had some really bad losses and got in.

no way is colorado in. Oregon is in. 22-8. Their best player, devoe joseph who is averaging 17ppg missed the first month and has really picked it up in confernce play. I mean their last 3 losses have all been close games by a combined single digits. No real quality wins since nobody games in the pac this year were considered quality wins.

I think that Iona should get an at-large bid even though they lost to Fairfield today. They have decent wins over St. Joe’s, Long Island, Nevada and Denver. Marshall, Hofstra, and Siena are bad losses, but Manhattan is pretty decent. I think that Iona should definitely make the tournament as a 14 or 15th seed. You can base a lot on record and RPI, but Iona definitely passes the watch test, as by watching them play you will see that they are no doubt one of the best mid majors in college basketball this year.

Creighton and Wichita State are two teams i would not want to run into in the first round of the NCAA tournament.

    1) first thing is first. i am a grown man and am not ashamed to admit when i make a mistake… i DID make a mistake, i did not mean to put colorado as a team that should be an NCAA tourney team. for some reason, i thought they were 22-8 and not 19-11.. so i admit they are absolutely not a tourney team

    2) to address some of you, i have no opinion about northwestern- the fact of the matter is, this team is 8-10 in the big 10 and 18-12 overall. they endured a 28 point loss to baylor, a 33 point loss to ohio state, a 23 point loss to minnesota and have only 2 quality wins.

    3) south florida, when they lost, they got OBLITERATED, this team is not a tourney team in my opinion, dont let their big east record fool you – they have only 3 wins over the top 9 teams in the big east… they lost by 28 to kansas and 30 to georgetown

    4) texas is very borderline with me… they are 9-9 in the big 12 which is just average, but since the NCAA expanded to 68 i am assuming this longhorns team will be able to squeak in after having a few quality wins over the likes of temple and iowa state… that being said, you can argue against them saying their losses to oregon state and oklahoma state could cost them

    5) the fact that Oregon is being considered a bubble team shocks me. 22-8 (13-5) with losses to only good teams aside from a loss to oregon state in january. other than that, this team crushed UW by 25, beat stanford twice and beat colorado once.

    6) NC State is in… 20-11, they beat miami twice and texas, ill change my opinion after thinking about this one

    7) Memphis is in for sure 23-8 and the only non-quality loss they suffered was to utep. big wins over tennessee and USM secure this

props to you condrin on admitting your mistake by adding colorado. As a pac fan, i would love to see them make it but they are flat out not in and its not even debatable really. Oregon on the other hand, like you said 22-8 and a damn good team. 6 of their 8 losses come vs teams that will make the tournament. The other 2 losses were against solid winning teams as well. The Ducks might not have many signature wins, but not one single loss to hang their head about either. Top 40 rpi i believe.

I think if Texas wins one game in the Big 12 tournament this week, they should be in, but if they get bounced in the first round then the NIT is where they should land.

For a time, no reliable provides appeared from Colorado passions cardinals tickets, and it seemed like the business would be shifted to Polk cubs tickets, California before even enjoying a game. rockies tickets
