balltilifall5ParticipantI know i didn’t get any responses, but im really curious about this guy and am trying to get a second opinion because i believe he will be an NBA talent by his Senior year.
Has anybody caught enough Mizzou games to get a good gauge on this kid. Seems like the second coming of Leo Lyons, plus defense and rebounding. Averaging 11 and 7 in just over 19 minutes a game. Solid–and still developing– handle, although he hasnt shot many has a good stroke out to the three point line where he is shooting 55% and also an 80%+ free throw shooter with great athleticism, thoughts? comparisons?

M-DYMESParticipantIt would help if you mention his name in this post 😉

balltilifall5ParticipantHaha sorry, thought the regulars might remember from yesterday. Its Laurence Bower’s, versatile 6’9″ forward of Missouri.

JoeWolf1I’ve seen Missouri play a couple times this year vs KSU and KU, they are a pretty solid team but with no 2010 NBA talent. You are right about Bowers taking a couple years for him to develop more, I think he could get there though, I haven’t really seen him enough to really analize him too much.

knicksfan7ParticipantYeah I haven’t seen much of Missouri, but the vibe I get with there head coach, Mike Anderson, is that he is about winning games in his system and keeping guys for the full 4 years rather than trying to get uber-athletic guys who plan on leaving after a year or 2 to go to the NBA.
Hey Joe, do you have an email address cause I wanted to ask you a question?? If you want you can send me an email at [email protected] if you don’t want to post your email on the board. Thanks man.

Isn’t that a refreshing philosophy? I wish more big time coaches followed that route.

knicksfan7ParticipantYes it is a refreshing philosophy. I did not mean to make that sound like college coaches should be about getting there players to the NBA. Sorry I made it out that way. I am a big fan of college coaches who get there players an education as well as making them better players.

JNixonParticipantBowers is Renaldo Balkman 2.0….He’s long, hard-nosed on defense, and an energetic and explosive athlete. He provides little talent though on offense. He is a hustle player to bring off the bench, and would be one of the worst players in the NBA probably, but one of those fan favorites.
