The Global Challenge takes place August 5-7 in Hillsboro, Oregon, and this site will be having coverage of the event. Last year, I covered everything over live streamed video:

This year, I am guessing they will still have live streaming, more than likely found on Oregon Live. Canada played a great tournament last year, and Wiggins and Sim Bhullar both played quite a bit. I am guessing these rosters could be subject to change, but if they are for real, Canada has a team with some great prospects. Anthony Bennett, Andrew Wiggins, Sim Bhullar and Dyshawn Pierre all played big time roles on a very strong CIA Bounce AAU team, so it will be interesting to see if they can take their chemistry and compete against some USA Teams that will undoubtedly be stacked.

There will be 8 teams in the tournament, Brazil, Canada, Chinese Taipei, Puerto Rico, Germany, USA East, USA Midwest and USA West. The USA Teams have yet to be divided, but here is a list of some confirmed participants:

Big name prospects include Julius Randle, Jabari Parker, Rickey Ledo, DaJuan Coleman, Aaron Gordon, Archie Goodwin, Omar Calhoun, Alex Poythress, Tony Parker, Marcus Paige, Rasheed Sulaimon, LJ Rose and J-Mychal Reese.

This team is a serous contender to win. They have size, length, power, shooting, scoring, playmaking, speed, and are exceptional defenders, with alot of hustle. I am very excited to see how Zabo and Mayes play. Excpect Zabo to make some huge noise on recruiting circuits soon.

Man Dyshawn Pierre really surprised me in the FIBA u-19’s, he played so well, led the whole tourny in field goal %.

This is an exciting roster! Quite a bit of NBA potential. Hope Webster-Chan is healthy for it I think he’s a solid player as well.
