SeBirschingParticipantI know it’s just one game into the series, but here’s a few things I’ve learned so far…
1. Curry haters are appearing faster than weeds. Anyone can hate on Curry and the Warriors when they lose, but before yesterday’s game, Curry’s critics were in full hibernation.
2. That being said, Curry lovers are being silenced. Is he the GOAT? Maybe, but he’s going to have to play at that level for another 10 years before he reaches that level.
3. Kevin Durant isn’t going anywhere. Why would he leave a championship-calliber team to go elsewhere and be the second option for the Warriors or someone else?
4. People overreact about every game. The Warriors aren’t finished just because they lost one game, and the Thunder came back after getting beat down and toppled the Spurs.

ChewyParticipantPeople are always going to react strongly after big games. It seems like the whole sports world follows the "what have you done for me lately" mind set. People are going to want to read into this game, but here is what I saw:
1. Curry and Thompson shot horribly in the 4th. People can say the Warriors gave away the game because of that.
2. Durant shot horrible in the 4th. People can say the Thunder could have won that game by 10.
3. Foye has hit some big 3’s for the Thunder these playoffs (when westbrook or KD are getting rest), but his defense of Barbosa was awful. At least Waiters has the legs to move on defense and gives the same shooting option.
4. Ezeli played 8 mins and Speights played 6. I like Speights. Speights can knock down spot up 3’s. Having him with Green or Barnes at the 4 can really make those Thunder bigs have to move on defense.
5. Hack a Ezeli worked, Hack a Adams didn’t. Do either teams continue to try and use this?
6. When GS puts Green at C, will Donovan try to counter it with an opposite line up of Kanter/ Adams?
7. No way Curry, Thompson, Westbrook and KD all shoot that poorly in the same game again. (In all fairness- Thompson had a great 2nd quarter and Westbrook had a great 3rd quarter)
8. Adams vs Kanter- Who wears the moustache better?

SubZeroParticipant1. That’s absolutely what happened. Klay especially took a couple bad 3s with no one in their half of the court to rebound to try and make a big play. Granted, it usually works and that’s how they get all momentum back in one play, but he missed. Give credit to Roberson, Adams when he switched on him, and others for playing great D on him
2. That also happened. Just like Steph and Klay won’t shoot this bad probably again, KD won’t shoot this bad again. Give credit to Iggy for the great D on him too
3. Seriously, I thought Foye was gonna let Barbosa win the game for the Warriors. Waiters has seriously stepped it up in the playoffs and deserves as much credit as Adams for their recent success, imo
4. Speights did about nothing for those 6 minutes, and all Ezeli did was try to shove Adams around. I saw him throw Adams right into a ref once and nothing was called. Just like how OKC can’t match Golden State going small, Golden State can’t match OKC going big
5. I don’t think so. I think Billy knows Adams won’t make 6 in a row everytime. Plus, both teams play better uptempo and that kills it
6. I mean…..that’s why we won the game so that’s a pretty obvious decision lol. Although I think Ibaka will see more go than Kanter this series as opposed to last series because of the upgraded athleticism the Warriors have over the Spurs
7. See #1 and #2
8. Adams all day. I’ve loved Steven Adams ever since we drafted him and I’ll always pick him over Kanter

goddagParticipantThe Wolves proved they can hold Curry down in the last two games those two teams played. They just rotated on who was guarding him. LaVine would guard him, then Wiggins, and then even Towns. Towns acutely did the better of the three in holding him in check.

BiggysmallsParticipantYou learned that people overreact during the playoffs? Just yesterday? I think I learned that the first time I watched the NBA playoffs.
I wouldn’t consider myself a Steph Curry "hater"…but Westbrook is better than him. He impacts the game in so many ways. If Curry isn’t knocking down 40 footers, he’s not making a huge impact and I think OKC will guard him and keep him in check.
The key for GS in this series is to not get sucked into playing OKC’s "hero-ball" style. They need to play their system. San Antonio fell into the hero ball trap and it cost them. If Golden State does the same, this is a much different series. If they move the ball, OKC won’t keep up.
67 shots from 3 guys is an OKC thing…not a GS thing. It was a GS thing last night and they’ll lose if it doesn’t change.

Pro-21ParticipantIf you can score a lot of points and have superstars and your role players can at least perform adequately, you can beat the Warriors with slow, methodical offense at the end of the 4th quarter.
OKC actually has those rare players who can do that. Westbrook’s all around play can keep them in any game, and Durant is too good at scoring to actually be shutdown; he either misses, or he doesn’t. The Cavaliers have the same combination, w. lebron and Kyrie, except lebron makes smarter decisions than westbrook.
And mind you, durant and westbrook probably won’t shoot so terribly again.
