JNixonParticipantI saw QHaynes do one, and I got inspired haha.
I only included players I’ve watched play, and put people on teams based on what I felt the teams needs where and whatnot. Feel free to criticize, as I really want to know how to make a good mock draft…Here it is:

The8thDeadlySinParticipantI think Patterson is a little high. Monroe and Ebanks are a little low. Other than that, I dont like Favors at 2 but its an okay mock.

QHaynes20I like it but 1 question
Kemba Walker at 9? You think he can have that good of a season?

Michael.S.ParticipantAldrich will be good, but my thing is, does he have the potential to warrant a top 3 pick? With all the possible stars in the draft of 2010, I would not take a player thats going to be just-solid in the pros. Also I dont see what the big deal is about Warren and Aminu……Warren is stuck in between positions, and Aminu is very overrated. Stanley Robinson is an undersized PF that I think will go somewhere in the 25-35 range, he’s athletic and versatile, but what can he do in the pros?Same with Patterson. Also, I think Motiejunas is a sure fire top 3 pick. Not bad for your FIRST EVER mock. I like the Kemba Walker lottery-thingy you got going.

JNixonParticipant@QHaynes: I think Walker is one of those players that will have a good season, a breakthrough in the conference and NCAA tourny and then have a phenomenal workout, which will solidify him in the lotto. Also with the dearth of PG prospects in the draft, he would be the 2nd best prospect. Why wait when 9th or so is probably the highest you’ll ever go when you declare.
@Mikenike: I’ve watched Aminu this season and he looks like a lotto pick. Last year I would agree with you that he’s overrated, but as of now, he’s showing alot of NBA caliber skills. I think he’s a top 10 pick, because he doesn’t have skills in question. He’s always been physically gifted.
Aldrich is the best Center available, and since you can’t make hypothetical trades, I just said that Philly would take him there. He’s not a top 3 pick to me either, but since the 76er’s need a center and it’s impossible to make a trade in a mock draft, I just make him the 76er’s pick there for the time being.
Robinson has value as a potential top flight defender and fast break player. So that why he was placed where he was.
And Willie Warren has serious All-Star type ability offensively. I think despite him being a 2-guard in a PG’s body, he’ll be a impact player in the NBA immediately.

MagikKnickParticipantPersonally, I dont like mock drafts this early in the season, players stocks rise and drop way to often to every be accurate right now
But, I’d have to say I like this mock draft, love it for the most part
Patrick Patterson, I dont see him going that early
I dont see Kalin Lucas, Grievas Vazquez and Michael Washington going in the first round
I like Manny Harris in the first round though, hes a sleeper
Question: Do you not see Lance getting drafted? Or do you think hes a 2011-13 prospect?
0 - Posted on: Fri, 12/11/2009 - 7:41pm #237809

JNixonParticipantI like Stephenson, but he’s a 2011 type prospect to me
0 - Posted on: Fri, 12/11/2009 - 7:42pm #237810

gregoden08ParticipantPatterson is a little high. I don’t see how teams will take him over Ed Davis.
Solomon Alabi will probably be higher just because of “upside”.
Patrick Christopher will be a 2nd rounder.
Quincy Pondexter has played terrific and is gonna be a top-20 pick IMO.
Also, look out for Charles Garcia. Averaging 25 ppg and 11 rpg and getting to the line at 14+ attempts per game. Don’t be suprised to see him shoot up every single mock draft board. Top-10 pick is not out of the reach.

QHaynes20Looking at his numbers- he might be a top 10 pick.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 12/11/2009 - 7:57pm #237821

JNixonParticipantI didn’t think his numbers were quite that good either, but yea with his impact on games and his production so far, he should probably be a lotto pick.
0- Posted on: Fri, 12/11/2009 - 8:00pm #237825

gregoden08ParticipantI don’t think he’s one of those players either who benefits from playing bad teams. I think he could put up those type of numbers against any player in college basketball. He is just too aggressive to contain (which is also his downfall). He has a profile on draftexpress now if anyone wants to read about his game.

JNixonParticipantMe and QHaynes were referring to Kemba Walker. But that Garcia guy is getting love on DraftExpress, I read up on him yesterday I believe. I want to watch him play. They say he played against Fresno State and had a big time game. He’s someone I’ll definitely wanna keep my eye out for.
0- Posted on: Fri, 12/11/2009 - 8:08pm #237835

gregoden08ParticipantHaha. Yeah, Kemba is going to be a good pg in the NBA and I don’t care what people say. There are plenty of small guards in the NBA who are successful. He is extremely quick, athletic, can pass and competes as hard as anyone on the college level.

HaleParticipantLooks pretty good, what have I missed?
0 - Posted on: Fri, 12/11/2009 - 8:29pm #237854

JNixonParticipantWow! Yupyup. Haven’t heard from you in a while. But really what you’ve missed is DHamp and his posers. He has 5 people claiming to be him. Not that I care, but it’s messing up the forum lol. And nothing else has really gone on, just talking basketball.

HaleParticipantHaha Iggy I haven’t been on since early September or late October I believe.

0 - Posted on: Fri, 12/11/2009 - 11:10pm #237893

Forte IVParticipantis way too high. I think the Clippers will draft a pg
0 - Posted on: Sat, 12/12/2009 - 3:09am #237902

lalailaParticipantWarren little struggles but 20/3/5 is very very good and i think Philly needs guard more than C
Turner looks perfect in Utah
I need Monroe higher
all in all it’s really nice0 - Posted on: Sat, 12/12/2009 - 6:28am #237910

HaleParticipantWe lost in state man, to well Seantrel Henderson. Hard going up against the number one recruit in the nation and pulling out a victory, though we were favored. Since then I’ve just been working on getting bigger and faster, to try and play some college ball.
