avikeshParticipantClearly Andre Iguodala is a goner. He’s expressed his desire to move on in that exit interview, and quite frankly every Sixers fan wants his bum ass out of town. I wanted to hear your guys’ ideas of where you think he should go and for what. A couple ideas I came up with:
Iguodala and Speights to Denver for Birdman and Danillo Gallinari
Iguodala and Speights to Indiana for Posey and Paul George
Iggy and Speights to Golden State for Dorrel Wright and Ekpe Udoh and #10 overall pick this year
Iguodala and Nocioni to Washington for Rashard Lewis and #4 overall pick
Iguodala and Hawes to LA for Bynum and Artest
Wanted to also hear some of your guys’ ideas

sbealer22Participantthe only reason I want him out of town is because I am tired of Sixers fans disrespecting him. It is not his fault he is the player he is, but he is still damn good. He is one of the best defenders in the league and is very athletic. He is NOT a #1 option and Doug Collins did not understand that this year. I want him to go to a team like OKC where he can be a missing piece as a third or fourth scoring option who can pass and be a lock down defender.
If we do trade Iggy, we need a #1 scoring option (true SG or SF that can score) or a big man (true C). IDK who these guys are, but if we trade Iggy, thats what we need.

Memphis MadnessParticipantI like that Lakers trade. But they might need to do Iggy and Hawes for Bynum. Not sure the Sixers can get Artest too.
Good trade for the Lakers since it will let them reload and hold onto Odom and Pau (who played better without Bynum at the start of the year). Hawes may not be the center the Lakers need but he is solid.
I like what the Sixers would have with Bynum, Jru Holiday, Lou Williams, and Speights as a young core. They need to keep Young too. Jodie Meeks is a good shooter, and Evan Turner should be a good sixth man.
Bynum, Brand, and Young would be a very good front line with Speights coming in off the bench. Holiday, Meeks, Williams, and Turner is a good backcourt rotation. If that team gels then I can see the Sixers sneaking into getting a 4th or 5th seed or possibly the 3rd seed. (After the Bulls and Heat the rest of the playoff seeds will be up for grabs.)
This trade would give the Sixers a legit center and would turn them into a sleeper pick in the East.
For the Lakers this would be the shakeup they need to make another run.

HitsterParticipantCleveland with that big LeBron exception springs to mind, I doubt they move the first pick if it’s top 2 but if they fell outside the top 3 then they may think about it or even Iggy for the LBJ exception and 8th pick might tempt Thorn and Coach Collins as they clear all Iggy’s salary off the books and get a top 8 pick which with their own pick they could use to try and trade up.
Toronto have that Bosh exception and a high pick so could look to do something perhaps but being in the same division could cause issues. The Kings have lots of cap room and a decent pick this year so again possible moves there.
The T-Wolves could do a deal with their assets but exactly what answers on a post card from David Kahn.
Phoenix are looking to rebuild and have a nice Vince Carter team option but might not have the assets that Philly want.
I’m sure the Spurs would like Iggy but again assets in return are an issue.
The one team that I could see being of interest is the Clippers, they have traded their pick this year but have the T-Wolves pick next year which in a loaded 2012 draft might really interest Philly’s front office and Kaman’s expiring 2012 deal and Moon’s team option would match Iggy and a throw in perfectly. Also Kaman would give Philly a legit 7ft post presence.

nateoak10ParticipantA high lottery pick would be fair for him (top 6)

kevnix5ParticipantHow about Chris Kaman for Iguodala? Maybe add some more pieces in there to make everything work but it seems to make sense to me. Kaman and Brand played well together in LA (I’m aware Brand is no longer the player he was in LA). Iggy and Kaman are both borderline all stars with similar contracts. The clippers could really use a player like Iguodala on the wing too. He doesn’t need many shots to be productive and plays good defense.

iguapops420ParticipantIggy has played his way out of getting a guy like Bynum who Jim Buss has passed on players such as KG, Melo, and Bosh for in the past. All prior to showing he has a passion to win(Only guy to bring it consitently in playoffs). Imo, fresh off a 6th MOY award, and a contract with only 2.4 mil guaranteed for 2012-2013, I’d see a more realistic trade for Iggy and LAL being something like LO,Ron, and Blake and probably a couple 1sts(Maybe even throw in 3Banks or DC) for Iggy and Noci or Lou.
An Idea I’ve been throwing around a little is addition by subtraction. Pau, Luke(get rid of that contract) for Iggy,Lou, and #16. Draft BPA, and hope you get a steal in the 2nd with one of 4 draft picks. Expecting that a lockout holds the NBA season off until around ASG break. Orlando could be seeing their last bit of time with the team not even giving a full season. Trade Bynum,Lou, #16, Ebanks, and picks for Howard, and Arenas.
Sign and trade TJ Ford to a deal similar to the LLE(got a lot of reproving himself to do) for Shannon,Caracter and a future second. Then Sasha’s trade X for B.Rush.
Sign JR Smith the MLE. and Przybilla for the vet minimum.
Howard/Joel
Artest/LO
Iggy/Rush/Barnes
Kobe/JR
Arenas/TJ/Fish
Beautiful balance of defense/Shooters and floor spacing for D-Ho. Athletisicm and playmakers. Also allows LO to remain the leader of the second unit.

KayjayParticipantI just hope the Kings come up on one of them.

HitsterParticipantThe Kings could get in the mix for Iggy as they have cap space so could take on more salary and with a high draft pick this year could have trade options or they could draft this year and send future picks to Philly for Iggy. This way Sacramento have Iggy,Evans, Cousins and a likely top 6 pick this year as their core and whilst they should improve next year they would still likely be a lottery team in 2012 so Philly could be sent that pick in what will be a deep draft.
