It seems the Andre Igoudala trade rumours are once again taking place, and for some reason this time I feel actions will be made and the athletic wing will be moved. The 76ers have plethera of players capable of starting at the 2 and 3 positions including Jodie Meeks who recently had an extremely strong showing scoring 27 points. With Evan Turner, Lou Williams, Andre Nocioni, Jason Kapano, Thaddeus Young, and Andre Igoudala all capable of playing major rotation minutes the 76ers should attempt to trade him for cap relief and possibly a reliable C.

The Cavaliers, Raptors and Timberwolves all have trade exceptions and multiple draft picks which could be used to acquire the Gold Medalist, although with the Wolves and Raptors both established at their wing positions and lacking a qaulity Center to send back a trade of that nature coul be difficult.  The Cavs could send Verajao, draft picks, and their trade exception although would also have to find a way to trade for another C to replace Anderson.

Would Houston be willing to trade some expiring contracts and young pieces to make a push for the playoffs. Jordan Hill has proved to show some good skill and potential as a C in somewhat limited rotation minutes, and Houston doesnt seem to keen on having a losing season.

What are some moves that you could see potentially being played out?

I think the Cavs should try rebuilding thru the draft..See whut they can get for Hickson who will never be a guy you can depend on to be consistent after night…I said this once before that if the Cavs had taken the Suns offer for Amare and sent Hickson packing, Lebron would still be there….Byron Scott hasnt been the coach for half a season, but yet he’s found out that Hickson is not a guy you can build around…

If the Wolves can get Iggy alot of teams in the west will fear them…

I disagree, i dont think anyone would feaar the Wolves. They would be decent a and competitive but still lose like other Western Conference teams (Memphis, Golden State, Houston). Cavs dont wanna rebuild through the draft, they are looking for money right now while they can still get it. The rebuilding process in Cleveland involves money and if they can get a bunch of it by lingering onto the whole "lets stick it to Lebron this season" and get good attendances in Clevaland their goal is accomplished for the season.

I really don’t see Iguodala going to the Cavs. The Cavs might want him but I don’t see why the 6ers would choose the Cavs of all teams as a trade partner.

I don’t think they’re going to dump Iggy for a trade exception and a pick – they might have if Evan Turner was showing signs of stardom at this point but he’s not.

The trade exception, Hickson and a first-rounder would be the best the Cavs could offer, but IMO there’s no way they should give up that pick, and Hickson wouldn’t fit in with Philly, With Brand playing well.

8thSin I really like that trade but the Sixers are looking for draft picks or cap relief if they can’t get a young big to develop or a stud in return cuz Iggy is a stud.

I like the Cleveland trade if the Cavs wanna just soak Iggy into their Cap which they can.  I don’t want Hickson, or really anybody else on the Cavs except for maybe Anderson, and Ryan Hollins.  I’m hoping the Sixers just trade Iggy to the Cavs for their cap relief and a 1st round pick.  The Cavs would make the playoffs with Iggy so they won’t have a lottery pick.

Since the season began I have been trying to identify suitable trade partners for Iggy and I have found a slew of them.

Golden State may be my favorite.  Trade Iggy and possibly Speights or Hawes to the Warriors for Biendrins.  Iggy would put up All Star numbers in the Warriors system and provide a winning mentality, veteran leadership, and a versatile lock down defender for the Roy, Kobe, and Durant, ect of the West.  If the Warriors don’t wanna give up Andris then I would take back Udoh and expirings, or Brandon wright, expiring and a first round pik.  I think Iggy would put the Warrios into the playoffs also.

The Bucks are another team that Iggy would be a great asset for.  He would give the Bucks that stud swingman, and him and Jennings would be amazing together.  Plus Coach Skiles would love Iggy for his leadership and defensive versatility.  Iggy can guard anywhere from the PG to the PF effectively.  A package of Redd and Larry sanders for Iggy and Kapono’s expiring contract would be a steal for the Bucks and at the same time make the Sixers future look bright.  I’d throw in Speights or Hawes too to get the Bucks to come off a first round pick.  Once again if the Bucks acquire Iggy they solidify a playoff spot and become a dangerous team.

The Rockets also have the assetts to trade for Iggy.  But with how bad they are playing now I doubt they come off a first round pick and Battier’s expiring contract, Jordan Hill and other filler probably wouldn’t be enough.

The T-Wolves are also in the running but Iggy wants to play for a winning team and I doubt that Minny throws Darko into the deal the player who the Sixers need.

The Raptors are interesting because of their trade exception and yes Weems is playing well and DDR got potential but let;’s be honest Weems is no Iggy.  And DDR and Iggy would be amazing playing on the wing together.  If the Raptors wanna absord Iggy’s money thru their trade exception and give back Ed Davis, or the Heats first round pick, or both,,,then I’m all for it.

The Thunder is another team that could trade for iggy and he would fit seasmlessly in between Westbrook and Durant.  The Sixers would want back Aldrich, Jeff Green, or Ibaka in the deal tho.

Chicago could trade Deng straight up for Iggy which I would do because I think they would both benefit from going to different teams.

And Dallas could get Iggy too. They would have to trade Butler probably in the deal.  Or even Better Iggy straight up for Chandler and a pick, or Dominique Jones.

sammey buckey Ill have to say this again…when Turner started the 5 games Iggy missed he averaged 13 points and 8 rebounds, then once Iggy got back he only scored 7 total points in the four games afterwards….They must trade Iggy and I have actually watched every Sixer game this year, no he don’t have nightly highlights on ESPN but you can tell by watching him play that he is overloaded with skill and BB IQ. Turner has star potential trust me. People were saying the same thing after Deron Williams only average 10 points after coming out after his JR year but Deron played for a coach tough on rookies and look at him now. Collins is brutal with rookie and if Iggy wasn’t on the team Turner numbers would no doubt be close to 14 ppg, 7 RPG, and 3.5 APG if he didn’t have to share the ball with Iggy and got 35 minutes a night like he is capable of playing. Unlike other rookies notably Cousins and Favors, Turner is in great shape and don’t get in foul trouble, and doesn’t turn the ball over a lot so there is virtually no reason for him not to play more minutes.

The Raptors would not give Ed Davis for iggy thats for sure. He has been proving to be an exceptional defensive player and something the Raptors have not had in a long time. He isnt even back into ryhtm, never got a chance to be in the Summer League so the Raps still havent even seen how good he really is.

Maybe Iggy to the Knicks for a Anthony Randolph+another player+ a pick.  Gives Landry Fields an option to come off the bench and a big three of amare iggy and felton.

If Philly are going to trade Iggy then to a team with an exception makes more financial sense for them unless they could package Brand who has been playing more solidly this year with Iggy. Cleveland have two first rounders due from Miami in 2013 and 2015 so they could throw one of those in with one of their own first round picks to sweeten any trade offers for Iggy.

     What about this trade:

    http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=25b5a2g

If the 76ers do end up trading Iggy, they will want equal value as well as capable center. But let’s face it, the Cavs do not have anybody of equal value to the 76ers so I believe that this trade will need to be a 3 team trade. Mayo is someone who has a ton of talent but has fallen out of the lineup with the Grizzlies and has instead conceded his spot to newcomer Xavier Henry. Mayo is also someone who I think could benefit from this trade because he would be going to a team that would give him the ball alot and that what he most needs in any offense in order to be effective. With Mayo on the 76ers, Turner can start at the 3 or they can use Young there too. But both Turner and Holiday are good passers which means that Mayo being the most talented player on that team will get the ball alot and I think 76ers would be happy to receive him because he is a different player than Iggy, and this will allow for Turner to develop his game a little more. They also get Center relief in Ryan Hollins and Varejao. Which is exactly what this needs because they are very soft down low since they traded Dalembert.

The Cavs would this because it would help them heal from Lebron leaving. The Cavs fans and the organization need someone to get them excited again and Iggy can do this. Since they are giving up Varejao, they are going to need someone who can start at Center that is capable. Speights may be young and may have no experience starting, but he has some talent but could be even better than Varejao. Speights has not been doing too well in Philly and I thought after Dalembert was traded that Speights would start at Center and finally show his potential that we all know he has. But that has not happened either. But I think he would help the Cavs rebuild because both him and Iggy give the Cavs a strong tandem which could develop into something special in the future.

The Grizzlies would do this mostly because of Ramon Sessions and Parker. Sessions is a capable PG who is playing well in Cleveland, but they have 3 point guards (Mo, Sessions, and Gibson) All of which are playing particularly well. The Grizzlies could use a backup PG really badly especially Acie Law has not done so well, and Tony Allen is typically not the guard you want backing up Conley, because he has no passing ability. Sessions does. He is a journeyman, and could also help Conley develop more because of what he las learned being on so many different teams (If this trade happens, the Grizzlies would be his 4th team) Parker gives the Grizzlies a veteran shooter which this team desperately needs.

Lineups after trade Cavs: Mo, Iggy, Moon, Hickson, Speights. Sixers: Holiday, Mayo, Turner/Young, Brand, Varejao. Grizzlies: same lineup as before but now Sessions can backup Conley and Parker could backup Henry.

Sorry this is the trade I meant to post

    http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=2bs2vtc

This trade is a lot more fair for each team. But still the same explanation for why each team would do the trade.

i would love for that trade to happen as a Sixers fan it would give my team exactly what they need interior defense and another outside shooter/playmaker, who also has the potential to be a star.  And Turner looks like his most natural position might be small forward because he is such a goo rebounder and what goes over looked is Turner got a post up game.  He always post up smaller defenders and is very good at it.  Now posting up taller defenders is a different story but he is crafty enough to make it work.

i liked the one trade between the bucks and sixers.

bucks get: iggy, kapono(to even the numbers) and speights.

sixers get: redd(expiring), larry sanders, and a 1st round pick

and i wouldnt be mad at philly for trading iggy and kapono to orlando for vince, orton, ryan anderson and a first. or if philly wanted gortat maybe work something out like that.
