anybody born from 1978 to 1995 tried to be like Mike. I used Stockton as inspiration though because I’m also a white PG. I thought that maybe I had a shot cuz he was in the league haha.

Stevey Nash. I don’t stop running and pressing and driving to the hoop to kick it out. Never. And I never will.

When I was growing up, I tried to be my own player now I watch moves of the pro’s and try to add them to my arsenal. Even though I dislike these players, Paul Pierce’s turnaround, Rondo’s fake behind the back pass and Arenas’ step back J are things I have added from watching the game. Also so the Brandon Jennings pass where he like flails his arm as if he is passing it but doesn’t even touch the ball. That one is an ankle breaker.

and Magic Johnson. I always was the tallest kid, but loved to play the point and be unselfish. Kidd’s rookie year in Dallas, I wanted to pattern my game after him. He has lost sooo much athleticism since then.

I actually saw some guy on the And1 tour do thsi move. You do like 10 low crossovers and then go between his legs with the ball and run around his outside to get the ball after 1 bounce. Just be careful not to rack the guy when you do this. I love that move and use it like once every game.

i feel i have seen some of the best guys in the league. I can honeslty say that growing up and playing ball the guys i imitated most were MJ and Kobe. They were guys who did moves that only some people would dream of. i remember watching 1 of MJ’s moves and trying to go outside and re enact his very move. especially the byron russell crossover.

Right now, I’m playing in college at a D2 school. I try to add a little bit of everyone into my game. Im a combo guard but only 6 feet. Not small but definatly not big for D2. I think the person I tried to play like when I was younger was probably Gary Payton. The only problem was, i was very fat. lol But now i try to do a little bit of everything. I dont want to brag, but i led my team in assist and rebounds last year. LOL I never got a triple double because i never seem to get over 9 rebounds or assist. It is really frustrating. But i feel like i can beat about half they guys i play off the dribble and i can shoot when im open. I really like to drive to the elbow and pull up. So I guess i play a little like D-Willaims but obviously not at his level. And im a lil husky like he was when he came into the league.

I was a tall guy who was soft so I looked up to and modeled my game after Dirk. I also tried to be like Manu when I drove to the rim, going around people rather than over them.

As I got older I took from a lot of people like Kobe, Chris Paul, Tim Duncan etc. How do I lose points for sharing info. Whomever is hating on me be a man and come directly to me. Some of yall on here I can not respect. I don’t care about the points thing that much but it is obvious when you lose points for nothing.

Im 18 yrs old and I tried to imitate MJ of course… who didnt… but I was a “prep head”… I grew up on high school basketball… so I tried to be like young guys like Derrick Rose, OJ Mayo, Kevin Durant n Brandon Jennings… but i did imitate Tim Hardaway’s crossover, AI, JJ Redick’s shot (I even bought the Better Basketball tapes… lmao… Admit it, he was a beast in college)… And after I saw what Vince Carter did in that 2000 slam dunk contest, I’ve been trying to 360 windmill ever since… I havent gotten there yet… only 5’9″… haha… maybe one day

I don’t model my game after his, but I’ve always found it fun to try to imitate the smooth layup up and under the hoop in pick up games.

growing up i loved MJ obviously but i loved GP n Reggie Miller though i dont talk trash like those 2, haha…then later on it was Jason Kidd and Mike Bibby, my 2 favorite players in the game today. I love how Kidd is a do everything point guard, and can dominate without scoring and i’ve played that way too bc i always would be so unselfish and i had great scorers or ballhogs on my team plus our offense wasn’t made for a pg to score so i had to do other things. Bibby has such a nice jumper and midrange game and is quicker than he looks though he’s slowed down and he’s a steady point guard. I am not the fastest guy, but I have enough quickness to blow by someone when they dont expect me to and i love using the mid range game
